Lastly, we’d be remiss not to mention the possibility of encountering Florida’s unofficial state bird- the palmetto bug- during your stay. Yes, they are harmless, and no, they are not pleasant to see, especially for our friends from up north, who aren’t accustomed to seeing them like we do.

Despite regular pest control visits treating the inside and outside to mitigate, the extreme summer heat and humidity brings these creatures out in droves. It is a literal impossibility to keep them out of units with 100% certainty. Please understand this and take into consideration, if you happen to see one or two during your stay.

As such, we kindly request our guests to refrain from reporting us to Airbnb for an “infestation”, etc., when that is simply not the case.
