Cozy Cottage - Close to Everything, Nature Lovers Dream!

Fully remodeled and furnished in 2022 2BR/2BA early 1900's Florida "Cracker Shack." Surrounded by towering oaks, cypress trees, and an on-property paddleboard/kayak launch leading to Lake Wastena. Private gated entrance with separate parking for guests leads to a recently built wraparound porch equipped with a grill, Edison lights and outdoor furniture. Fully furnished kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Fenced yard for pets and three friendly horses on property that LOVE treats, fenced separately.

If you're in town for an event at The Barn at Crescent Lake/McMicky's Farm, it's a 5 minute walk or a quick drive right down our street as they're roughly 5-properties down from us. Our neighborhood is very quiet with most homes on several acres and beyond friendly neighbors.

This home offers a quiet "Country" feel while being close to nearly everything. SR54 is right down the road with new restaurants, shops, and entertainment opening daily. We're roughly 20 minutes from Tampa International Airport and 25-30 minutes to the beaches in Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, and Dunedin.

A perfect spot!

We absolutely loved our weekend here! Such a great spot for my family, especially for our kids. The horses were amazing and the amenities were just what we needed. A must stay!

Very peaceful!

The house was adorable, beds are comfy and the horses are such sweethearts! My only issue was the canal, it was just too murky and the kids nor my dogs didn't want anything to do with it

Perfect and peaceful

This property was a quiet peaceful place. The two horses Mango and Bumble Bee were SUPER FRIENDLY and love the attention. Dave and Lindsey were amazing host. Communication, and hospitality was 10/10. Overall great stay 5/5.

A Cute and Cozy Place to Stay--at a good price and idyllic location

My in-laws from Poland enjoyed their nine-day stay here, and the glimpse it offered them of "old" Florida--with a swamp filled with cypress, a pasture with several oaks, three awesome horses, and access to a lake behind the property. The home was clean and a nice place for us to gather each day after exploring the Tampa Bay area.

Another amazing, relaxing visit

2nd time staying and it was a good as the first. Quiet, comfortable - far enough away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to everything. The hosts (as always) ensure you have what you need to make the most of your visit. Missed the horses this time, so guess we'll just have to return.

Beautiful Country Home

My daughter loved the house and loves feeding the horses. This place is peaceful and very relaxing stay the host are very considerate and welcoming. It’s private and my family felt safe the whole entire time.

Terrific Overnight Stay!

What a lovely property! Cute as Christmas Cottage! Clean and comfortable. Of course my favorite part was feeding the horses snacks that were provided. Wish we were staying longer. We were visiting Tarpon Springs. It was about 25 minutes away but worth the drive!

Very clean peaceful property. Owner maid check in very easy. Would definitely go back again. We came in for a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game for a weekend stay. Property is very close to everything you would want. Plenty of good food, downtown Tampa isn't far.

Comfortable home-away-from-home

We enjoyed a wonderful experience in this cozy cottage. The home had everything we needed and wanted - quiet, relaxing, great amenities (thanks for the eggs!), and close to Tarpon Springs while still feeling remote. The fenced-in yard, with neighboring and friendly horses, was perfect for our dog. We appreciated the electronic gate. Thank Dave ~ we look forward to a future visit!

Wedding weekend

We had an amazing time, and wish we could have stayed longer. My husband and i got married right down the road at the barn at crescent lake, and this was the PERFECT location. The horses were super nice, the beds were comfy, and the house just gave off a very cozy feel. There was a slight issue with the water, but Dave worked non stop to come up with a solution as soon as we brought it to his attention.

Weekend stay

When we arrived at the property we were greeted by the owners, and their precious son along with a beautiful horse and mini horse. They left us fresh eggs from their chickens, and carrots to feed to horses. The inside of the home was immaculate, the decor was beautiful, very comfy feel and they had everything u may need to make your stay easy. Our furbabies enjoyed the fenced in yard as well. Very safe area in a country setting. We loved it. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone and we will be back for our next trip. Thanks for having us!

Great home base for a wedding at The Barn at Crescent Lake

My family stayed here for a wedding. We just needed a place to crash and be able to cook our own meals and this by far exceeded expectations! We arrived to farm fresh eggs and even wine from the owners. In the morning we met the horses and fed them the carrots that were in the fridge. We had enough space to host dinner for other out of town family, which was a great way to relax and catch up with everyone. Everything was clean and comfy. Such a great getaway!

Very nice place

Very clean and quiet and a great location. Short drive to Tampa riverwalk,Tarpon Springs and Honeymoon Island.There are nature preserves nearby if you're into hiking. The three horses are very friendly and will expect a treat if they see you outside. The only negative was a sulfur odor when showering so maybe the well needs a new filter? Not a big deal but some people may be sensitive to it.

Nature's paradise

We chose this little hideaway for solitude, it did not disappoint! We hosted a 4 day training in Trinity and needed the evenings to debrief and unwind after each long day. It was absolute peace. Each evening we were greeted by the beautiful and friendly horses at the gate. The hosts made sure we had some snacks to feed them, and we had farm fresh eggs waiting for us inside! The house was super cozy and clean, tucked away on land away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close to plenty amenities for food and shopping if needed. We appreciated that it was dog friendly. Next time we visit we will stay here again.

So peaceful and quiet

Definitely a nature-lover's dream - out away from the fray, yet close enough to some wonderful places to grab a bite. Super quiet (ok, cicadas excepted) and very comfortable. And the horses were so much fun! They definitely will not say no to a carrot or horsie treat. The high point for us was hearing a high-pitched whinny and watching the large draft horse (Luke) gallop across the field to indulge in carrots and pets. Dave is very communicative and ensured our stay was optimal and that we had everything we needed. Greatly appreciated. And the farm-fresh eggs made for tasty breakfast during our time in Florida. Highly recommend (ok, maybe not tooooooo highly because we might want to book here again and can't if everyone else books).
