Reservation made here not honored!

We had high expectations of our stay at the chateau. Unfortunately we were not allowed to check in. The reservation, which I had prepaid, was not honored. We were told by the reception people they don’t work with Expedia/hofels.com. And therefore cannot let us in. This has never happened to me before. ...
