"we had a beautiful time at the lodge. the staff makes this property amazing! the food was so good, they are organized and friendly. same as other reviewers as no hot water, but its so hot out that a cool shower feels amazing! "
"Posadas was a lovely jungle lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful with amazing service. Beautiful setting and Rainforest Expeditions made our transportation and excursions smooth and flawless. Food was fresh and delicious satisfying to the taste buds. The jungle sounds were wonderful to wake up to and helped to send you off to sleep. I highly recommend and would love to return sometime. A lot of wildlife just around the lodge."
"Our stay in the Amazon was truly unforgettable, thanks to the amazing staff who made every moment feel welcoming and special. Our tour guide Fernando was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to ensuring we had a great time exploring the rainforest. Samuel brought a warm and friendly energy to our tours, making the adventures even more enjoyable.
In the dining room, Ronny’s constant smile and attentiveness added a delightful touch to every meal. Manager Justin was always ready to help with anything we needed, and Ronaldo was fantastic during our zipline experience—professional and supportive.
The staff truly makes this place shine and creates an atmosphere that feels both adventurous and comforting.
A few areas for improvement:
The rooms unfortunately lacked functional charging options. While there were two USB ports, they didn’t work—not just in our room but in others as well. We had to rely on the dining room or lobby to charge our devices, which was inconvenient. There was also no hot water in the rooms at all, which can be tough after long, active days in the rainforest.
The Lake Sandoval tour itself was beautiful and well worth doing, but the meal provided during the tour was quite disappointing. For a $70 experience, we expected more than two very basic sandwiches—one with dry pulled chicken, the other with a small piece of cheese on dry bread—especially after seeing other groups enjoy more complete meals.

"The property itself is very well built we were surprised we had no issues with bugs inside the room! The view from our room was great also.
This was our first time in PM so we didn’t know what to expect, but thought there would be more things to do there for what we paid. We also thought there would be some wild life around! We didn’t see much of anything besides some birds!
Luckily there is a wild life sanctuary 5 minute walk from the lodge that allows visual tours of their monkeys for $80 soles.
Expect lots of deep mud everywhere! We were there in April which is their dry season but it did rain some every day.
The tours “included” with the lodge were sub par and we could have done without.
Best day we had was some piranha fishing that we paid extra for and someone came and picked us up 👌
Food was also very bland and not great, they have a set menu/surprise menu each day for the meals and they ring a bell when that food is ready. We found ourselves hungry during the day waiting for that bell 😂, they do have a separate food menu you could pay extra for but was pricey and the town was a good distance away to go get your own snacks/food.
Overall it was a relaxing experience as it forces you to slow down… was okay for the end of our very busy Perú trip!
Hope this review helps!
