Our stay was exactly what we needed. We celebrated our 20 yr anniversary, so it was just my husband and I. The home was clean and cozy and felt like we were tucked away in the mountains to enjoy solitude.
Great location for a ski in ski out condo! Skiing was wonderful and the condo was equipped to meet all of our needs. We enjoyed our visit at Tamarack Resort.
Wonderful time, the stay was great. There was not an outside grill, which we wanted but everything else was great! The kitchen big enough to cook in, close to skiing, and coming back to a clean hot tub was excellent!
It was a great place. The walk up from the car is a lot, and there was no AC in the Summer. But I knew that going into it. The place was very nice and peaceful.
My husband and I wanted a getaway in the woods for our anniversary. The Tamarack Resort is a beautiful property and this cabin was lovely. It is spacious and cozy, very well-stocked, and super clean! We are definitely bringing the kids back in the winter. We loved that there are trails right next door and a chairlift one house over. Beds were medium firm and comfy. We loved sitting in the hot tub out in nature with the stars overhead!
We had a great New Years stay at the property. Everything was as described and couldn’t have been a more convenient location coming back from the slopes. Only downside is the Buttercup lift wasn’t operational (and after talking with a handful of people, hasn’t been operational consistently). There is the Tamarack Resort shuttle that picked us up and drove us to the main lift, so still didn’t have to worry about driving or parking.
We had a great visit and really enjoyed the cottage. It was located right on the run. When the Buttercup lift is operating, this will be even better! Since the lift was not operating during our stay, we called the resort and they picked us up and drove us to the lift. We were able to ski to the cottage at the end of the day. The hot tub was perfect to soak the muscles after a great day of skiing. If there was any way to get 2 beds in the upstairs bedroom, that would be even more ideal for a family of 4! Will stay again for sure!

Overpriced and dangerous
This property is managed by a different company called Done Right and we were NOT impressed. These cabins are very expensive in the wintertime so our expectations were high, but very reasonable. When we arrived, there were 3 counter stools that were completely broken. One of our party was pregnant so this posed a huge safety risk, especially if you have kids stay here!
The other thing that happened was in the master bathroom. We suddenly heard a loud crash that sounded like glass shattering. When we went to investigate a lightbulb had burnt out and shattered all over the counter and floor. We spent all weekend sweeping it up so that no one stepped on shattered glass and avoiding the area stepping on towels etc. half of the bathroom was rendered useless. I understand that these things happen but when I brought it up with the management company Done Right, they NEVER RESPONDED! Really disappointing.
This property is beautiful and private. It is extremely well laid out and we would love to stay here again. The only feedback is the unit needs a new lamp in the primary bedroom (the switch is broken), the kitchen cooking utensils need to be replaced or added to (lots of the utensils were melted in spots), and the hot tub needs a good cleaning! It was green and murky and the filter needed to be replaced. We would still recommend this unit, great spot just some minor maintenance issues.

You can't beat being able to ski in and out of the property. Not to mention the ability to take a lunch break from the slopes and hop in the hot tub. This property is incredible and I will definitely be back!
We spent 5 nights here from 12/25-12/30. We had some (major) weather and travel hiccups, but our stay at Tamarack was great! Totally made up for it! On 1st night after lugging our luggage up 59 snowy steps, I swore I would never stay at a place like this again - however the ease of the ski in/ski out was amazing! We actually loved the views, the beauty, & the ease of this location and would totally stay here again… HOWEVER 2 things: 1. The 59 steps are no joke! Please please take this into account before you rent this location. We were actually there with other family -they never came to our place because frankly they couldn’t handle the steps. Steps do get shoveled, but they were never clear just the top layer of fluffy snow was shoveled off once a day so by morning there was often several inches of new snow on the two or 3 inches of packed snow. My family is pretty agile, once we got all the luggage up & down the rest of it was not so bad. 2. The ski in/out at this place is amazing but only when this lift is open so be sure you are aware of the Buttercup lift hours. While we were there it was mostly open but typically it is only Sat/Sun. Also one of the days we were there we skied down at 10:15am - it had just closed for the day. They called us a ride however if there had been no operator there we would’ve just had to walk back uphill to the house then drive to the resort. That would definitely not be ideal. Overall totally recommend!
This particular unit had a great kitchen set up for a group of five(no table only 5 barstools). The kitchen had everything you could need including spices, we didn’t really need anything. We cooked in all but one meal -the kitchen was well appointed. Extra half bath great. The washer/dryer in the master suite. Beds were fine. The site claims an extra bed upstairs - only a queen.
The hot tub was the star! Somebody shoveled off the top every day and we used it! The view from the hot tub of the trees and the snow is incredible. My last issue is we had a really difficult time figuring out where to take the trash… So difficult that in the blizzard as we left we ended up not even finding it and used a dumpster at a gas station. OVERALL We definitely recommend!
The amount of stairs was more than anticipated. Hauling all of your stuff up is a bit of a chore. The posted picture is only about half of the stairs. The chair lift you use for the ski in ski out closes at 2pm. Nice and clean place. Be nice if someone picked up the trash. Not sure what people do without a truck since you’d have to drive with trash in your car to take to the dumpster. Just FYI stuff, not negative. Fam had a lot of fun. You can ski right into the place and the hot tub was nice. Can’t see fireworks though if you’re there for New Years.
He had a really good stay. We were both really sick and ended up leaving in the middle of the night on Monday to rush to the hospital. But other then that we had a really good trip

Mixed review....
The cabin is outdated as the other reviews have stated. Our towels were put away damp and smelled like mildew so I had to do laundry the day we arrived. The kitchen is not well appointed at all. No bowls, cutlery is well past dull, much of the cookware is very old, stained and/or unusable, lastly, the BBQ isn’t really a BBQ. It’s a camping stove that is filthy. The beds are very old and hard. The pillows are so old they are all flat. The owner would do well to invest in updating the essentials.
As the other reviews state, the electronics are dated as well. We weren’t there to watch tv so this didn’t bother us at all.
The location is fantastic. The ski in/out option on Buttercup was a hit for my family. The hot tub was nice and clean and very enjoyable. The property management company is always nice to work with. We’ve rented from them in the past and have always had a great experience with them.
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was also clean and great after a day of skiing. The ski in/ski out aspect was wonderful! That being said, the Buttercup lift is only open on Saturday and Sunday, so those are the only days you can actually ski out. There are 58 steps to get from the garage to the house. This wasn’t a big deal for us, but might be difficult for people with mobility issues. Overall, great place!
We love coming up to Tamarack for long weekends and have stayed in many of the cottages around the resort. This is a beautiful rental that is literally on the slopes! The kitchen is very well stocked and everything in the home was in good working order. While not a deterrence, it is important to know that there are more than 60 stairs to get up to the home (and back down). This is a little challenging in the winter but the property manager did a good job keeping the steps shoveled during a strong winter storm that came through while there. We will definitely stay in this unit again.
Great location at Tamarack on a ski run near a lift. We enjoy Tamarack. Snow is great, great skiing. Cottage is a clean, serviceable unit for a long weekend. Decor is a bit dated, but does have mountain cabin feel. Hot tub outside deck adjacent to the ski run is cool, and worked great. TV and audio equipment in unit was subpar (recommend bringing a BT speaker). Overall good value, great location, Tamarack we like.
