"We enjoyed our stay in this lovely little property. It is peaceful, except unfortunately the neighbour chose to build a new drive, which took a week and a half to finish with diggers and lorries working all day. But, we were out everyday so it didn’t really matter too much. Everything in the Gite was spotless, we had everything we wanted. Not far from the beach.Veillon Plage is beautiful and has 3 bars If you are fit and heathy it is walkable or a cyclist I think would do it in half an hour. There are shops and supermarkets in Talmont. There is also the Castle which was once owned by Richard the Lionheart which overlooks the Village. We just loved sitting outside the bar which is opposite the castle and have a couple of drinks on an evening. There was only problem we love having a barbecue but the owner doesn’t allow them due to fire hazard. However, we will definitely be returning."
