Applinger Farm is a great gathering place for the any season. RELAX with beautiful views of the Siskiyou & the Cascade snow capped mountains!
In the Rogue Valley nestled between the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland (3.9 mi) & Britt Festival, Jacksonville (13 mi). Easy to find off I-5, this Farm House Suite is comfortable for a great get away! Big outside areas. Enjoy birds and wildlife or beautiful sunrise & sunsets. Relax with Mountain views and horses grazing in the field or turn on your music and laugh loudly to your heart's content.

The space

You'll have a 8'x10' Deck with table & chairs... the perfect place to have some quiet time, read, work or relax, kitchenette, King Bed, private bathroom, and 32"
TV with a king Bedroom

Guest access

Very large lawn (perfect for games) & large shade trees. Big backyard with a large lawn with views of the Mountains and orchards surrounding our green pastures. Great for stargazing. You are free to explore the property and please do enjoy for your personal consumption any of the fruits on our trees. There are apricot, walnut, pear, cherry, plum, peach, and of course apple trees!

We will be available via phone, text, or email for any questions during your stay.

Other things to note

There can be the sounds of work being done in the orchard or hay fields, like tractors, whirring anti-frost fans, or jovial banter among work crews. Our guests, have all said it adds to the atmosphere and it didn't disturb them. There may be an occasional outside dog or an outside cat or two. It is critical to livestock health that you maintain control of your dog.

Darling small private studio!

This charming small studio with a nice little front deck was a very nice place to stay. The owner provides so many little touches, including snacks, bottled water in the fridge, coffee, and more. So much thoughtfulness has gone into putting this place together and making it comfortable for everyone! My husband and I would prefer a firmer mattress but other than that, everything was perfect. For those who are theatergoers, it’s a very easy eight minute drive from the OSF theaters.

Weeken Trip

My girlfriend and I just wanted to come up for the weekend. The property was well maintained, Lisa and John were very friendly and accommodating. They made sure we felt comfortable using the hot tub when we wanted and even left carrots for us in case we wanted to feed the horses. Well decorated and very cozy, we are already planning our next stay in Ashland at the applinger farm to visit friends and take one of Lisa’s apple pie making classes 😊

A beautiful staycation❤️

I was initially bummed that the hot tub was out of commission but the hosts were very kind about it working to accommodate my needs. John helped build a beautiful fire in the evening for the couple friends that came up to celebrate my birthday with me and we enjoyed feeding the horses carrots. Overall, beautiful and would recommend. It would also make a lovely Couples retreat for those who like to soak, enjoy outdoors with a fire and lounge about while enjoying the Talent/Ashland area.

Exemplary hosts go the extra mile

The Orchard Suite, located on farm property that includes fenced pastures, resident horses, fruit trees, and peaceful southern Oregon views, is a lovely place to stay. Close to wineries, the towns of Ashland, Talent, Jacksonville, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it's ideally located for exploring what the region has to offer. What sets this property apart are the efforts of the hosts, who made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of; they provided bottled water, breakfast treats, snacks, homemade dried apples, seasonal decor and holiday-themed decorations, and a bucket of windfall apples to feed the horses. Great place to stay in the Ashland area!

Much needed weekend away

I booked this property as a surprise so that my girlfriend and I could have a much needed weekend away. She was so excited when we arrived...it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Even though it's just off of I-5 there is minimal road noise, its very easy to get to, the property is absolutely gorgeous, there are tons of fabulous restaurants close by, charging for our electric car is easily accessed in Medford, the property was very clean, the bed was comfortable, there was water in the fridge, coffee for the maker, microwave popcorn, dried apples, apple donuts, hot chocolate, and tea. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the suite itself and they even provided us with a package of Lysol disinfecting wipes in our room upon arrival. The chairs were soft and comfortable, setting up a time for the hot tub was very easy. It was super relaxing to be out there at night, in the fog, in the hills and mountains, with the soft glow of outdoor lights surrounding us. There are towels and robes for your use as well as a large dresser. Communication with Lisa was very easy and she was very quick with her responses. We did not have to contact her for anything except a time for the hot tub....they didn't miss anything. Lisa and John have an AMAZING property and we will definitely be returning. When we left we felt very relaxed and ready to face a new week. Thanks again.

Wonderful place to stay!!

We got to our room in the early evening and it was a warm and welcoming space. Lisa and John were there to greet us then left us to rest and relax. The room is very spacious and peaceful. I really enjoyed chatting with John and meeting sweet little Poly the kitty. There were goodies, coffee and plenty of soft, cozy towels. If I ever need a place to stay while in Talent again I’ll be calling Lisa & John. I had a wonderful time there. Because of my rushed packing I misplaced my favorite shorts and Lisa found them and said she’d mail them to me the next day. I was overjoyed!! A+++ rating. Thank you for everything Lisa & John. Cozy, comfy, clean

We enjoyed our stay. Owners were friendly when we saw them. It was just as advertised and would stay again. We weren't able to enjoy all of the amenities because of the poor air quality, but I'm sure it would have been that much nicer. Can't do anything about the smoke, so we made the best of it.

Peaceful, romantic getaway

This was an ideal location for a nearby anniversary getaway. Close to Ashland, Jackson, wineries etc. Easy access but the feeling of out in the country!

A perfect spot for a peaceful retreat with a friend!

So inviting, warm hospitality, beautiful property. Peaceful country setting yet close to Ashland, Jacksonville and Medford. I would definitely return again and again! Hosts were available but not overbearing whatsoever. Really special time!

Amazing and so relaxing!

I would recommend this place to everyone, we needed to get away for some quiet, relaxing time and Lisa and John made this possible. They were very accommodating and amazing. Waking up to an amazing view, relaxing the next morning in the hot tub with snow, horses, view and birds was so peaceful. We will definitely make this a annual trip. If your thinking about staying don't give it a second thought do it you won't be sorry..

Soft Spot to Land

Covid 19 reschedule hopeful

Due to the virus changing everyones plans we were not able to enjoy our long planned family vacation. We had to cancel 2 days prior to our scheduled stay. Our host was gracious and understanding. Spacious, countryside home

We (two couples) enjoyed our stay in the countryside outside of Ashland as we attended plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and participated in a conference. The Farm was a quiet retreat with all the supplies one could need. Very clean. Easy communication with the host. Lovely views into the hills. Fun to arrive during apple season. Sisters Trip

The house was a beautiful setting , very relaxing,comfortable retreat for us.We had nights around the table playing "jacks" and making facinators! Appreciated the nightlights throughout the house and labeled cabinets. A short drive to Ashland for shopping, plays,and eating.

Beautiful view and lovely, warm home!

My family and I loved staying at the Applinger Farm!! We seriously did not want to leave. Just sitting out on the back porch and looking at the the view of the mountains and landscape was the most relaxing thing during our stay. The home was very clean and had all the amenities you need. You could tell the owners really care and the home had such a homely feeling, we felt like we were at our grandparent's old home. We really hope that this home is still on VRBO next year when we do our annual trip to Southern Oregon because this is our favorite place we've ever stayed down there. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Farm house

The property was just as expected, a farm house. I live in Seattle and it was lovely to stay in a quiet place and have a different surrounding than my typical city life. We attended many plays at the Oregon Shakespeare festival. Short 10 minute drive away. Polly the cat is great!

Perfect spot for Ashland area visit

Really enjoyed staying at this house. Location was great - country yet easy drive into Ashland, Talent and wine areas. The house was well furnished for 3 couples and kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed both the backyard and front porch for outside sitting. Would definitely recommend this property.
