"Stayed in this hotel several times. This is not a luxury hotel, so if you keep your standard low, it has everything you need for a single or a couple who need place to stay for a short term trip. No issues and I will stay here again. The nearest station”Asakadai” has an access to major towns and express trains stops here."
"The location was the the first thing that struck me. It's in this seemingly quiet courtyard area next to a building with a pachinko parlor and a 7-11. The train station entrance is a one-minute walk, but I never heard any noise from my room. The room we had on the second floor was cozy with a nice big bed. We took advantage of the bathtub since the summer days are very hot and humid. Breakfast provided in the morning had several great options. But we also picked up some pastries nearby too. There is a mall a few train stops away with multiple floors for all manner of items you could want or need along with some fast food restaurants. And a movie theater we visited to enjoy a live streamed concert. Tokyo proper is about a 45 minutes away by train, but avoid rush hour if you don't want to be cramped most of the way there. There is another train station on top of the train station to Tokyo that will take you to more remote locations of Saitama. We attended a concert at the Belluna Dome and navigating the streets to transfer to that location was a nice adventure. Even though it's not the most convenient location if you want to have immediate access to Ueno or Asakusa, I'd say it's a nice, beautiful location that I enjoyed coming back to at the end of the day. "Staying at this property was truly an incredible experience. My wife and I (American tourists visiting Japan for the first time) stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was so friendly, especially the wonderful staff in the 6th floor restaurant. Our room, a 12-tatami was spacious and comfortable with a great view of the lake and mountains. Each room comes equipped with everything you need to make green tea and wake up with the sun. The 6th floor restaurant boasts views of Mount Fuji on a clear day with excellent food and service. The public bath is comfortable, clean, and hot! 10/10 experience.
As for the area around the hotel, we were so amazed by the quiet, lush, and serene town of Tokorozawa. We walked to a Seibu Lions baseball game, the forest that inspired Totoro, and several local parks. It was a great experience of “small town” Japan that is very different from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo city. "
