Thanks for your feed back Ricky. I would envisage you booked for less occupants than were actually using the room hence the additional charge- standard practice everywhere. The Family Room has the uninterrupted river view as well as a couple of Double Rooms. Unless we can shift the river not all rooms will enjoy that view. Glad you found our staff friendly! I would encourage you to contact management in future where ever you may stay and bring issues to their attention so that they may be addressed at the time. Thanks Shaun for your feedback. We crossed paths almost daily so its a shame you didn't mention any of your concerns as we may have been able to assist. The room does have a roller shutter on the window to negate noise, since installing the feed back has been very positive with noise reduction-may be you didn't activate the shutter in the evenings? I think you are a little confused, the accommodation wing is separate to the bar area, the accommodation wing is above reception. Sorry to hear your wife found the bedding too soft, I think we need to put this down to personal choice as the overwhelming responses we receive is how good the bedding is for sleeping. Hopefully you enjoyed the complimentary upgrade and continental breakfasts you received as originally you booked a Budget Room for 1 person only. Feel free to contact me any time. Thank you for your feed back, We are a relatively small Motel/Hotel with only 10 rooms so installing a lift is extremely expensive for 1 flight of stairs. Ideally it would be great to have them but unfortunately was not built with them. Airconditioners are new in all rooms and do take 4-5 minutes to activate due to inbuilt 'sensors'. Thank you for your response, It would appear you have booked a budget room which is clearly advertised as a non en suite room. Our en suite rooms are well appointed with quality Queen Beds, newly refurbished bathrooms and all the facilities and amenities expected in a Motel Room. Having said that the budget rooms are very popular with budget conscious traveler and are appointed with the good quality Queen Beds, split system air conditioners and wall mounted flat screen TV. As you have pointed out, the concrete floor you refer to is in the public bathroom which these budget rooms share with other guests. Would be more than happy to offer you a Motel Room at the budget price so you can experience the difference. The only poor reviews we receive are unfortunately guests who mistakenly book a non en suite room when what they are really after is a Motel Room with en suite. Pleased you found our staff friendly. Thank you Judy for your response. We welcome all feed back. The Room you booked was clearly advertised as a Budget Double non en suite Room. Consequently the Room will be by nature not have the facilities of our En Suite Motel Rooms. Having said that we find the overwhelming majority of customers who are budget conscious and book the Budget Rooms are very happy, they have quality Queen Beds, new split system air conditioners, flat screen TV wall mounted and we provide a common room with tea/coffee facilities.=all for $80-. They do have a common share bathroom but as advertised are 'non en suite'. In my response to your initial booking I clearly stated this was a non en suite room you had booked so unfortunately I do feel you need to take some responsibility. If you had brought this to our attention on the night you booked, for a small fee we could have upgraded you to an en suite room. Hope this clarifies matters some what, we certainly do not mislead any one in to the standard of room booked. Thank you for your feedback Geoorg. Sorry for any confusion, on the night concerned our Duty Manager was on the premises but had just finished securing the Hotel section for the evening (11.30pm). The Hotel number is correct and this is how Expedia staff were able to contact our Manager by land line. We do have a night key safe for late/early morning arrivals and regularly use this when advised of late arrivals. Glad you enjoyed your nights rest.
