Our second stay at the property, this time with our family. Such a cozy weekend. Even though there was less snow than our last stay, it was still a great time! The perfect location for a quite weekend getaway.
The description of the property was very accurate. It was older property but provided a comfortable environment for family. very well stocked with anything you might need. The back deck wasn’t really useable for meals or entertaining as there was no furniture but it was great for the dog to have an outdoor area that was fenced in. The owner was very detailed in communications and provided all info needed.
House equipped with all essentials & close to Lake Tahoe. Nice 2.5 mile hike to Meeks Bay Resort to visit family. Coffee shop, pub, burger joint, & post office 5-10 minute walk. Groceries near by but take your own bags…10 cents each. Only tried the coffee & it was good. Home definitely in need of some upgrades. The beds were comfortable, the couch was not. I will address details with owner. All in all, an enjoyable stay & great memories with my family. Thank you for making your home available.
It was a cozy place to stay and my family really enjoyed it. Close to the city, we were able to enjoy a nice breakfast and lunch not too far away. Definitely would stay here again on our next time to Lake Tahoe.
Two Morrows met our expectations and needs. We enjoyed our stay, especially hiking and beach visits nearby at Meeks Bay & Emerald Bay. We enjoyed the coffee and gelato shop on the corner and other dining in Tahoe City.
My wife wanted a short weekend trip to go see the snow of Tahoe. This cabin was a great place for us to relax and enjoy seeing the snow, right out our window.
We loved this cabin! It's actually bigger than the photos. Inside was very comfortable, well supplied, the rooms were nice and beds very comfortable! Communication was great and owners were very easy to work with! Cabin is also in a quiet neighborhood and not right next to another cabin-a plus! It was very relaxing and peaceful-we loved it!
The home had everything we needed. Nice neighborhood close to Homewood and Sugar Pine Park. The kids and dog had a blast playing in the snow at the house. Roberta was easy to communicate with and let us extend out checkout so we could get in an extra morning on the mountain.
This property is much better in person then online even! Very cozy, extremely well stocked kitchen (best tool selection ive ever seen in a cabin), fun collection of VHSs, very well insulated even in july in the heat the cabin stayed cool! Hosts were very responsive and helpful--it is abundantly clear that this home has been loved and cared for.
We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The house was cozy and just right for the 6 of us. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, which was huge because we cooked every meal there during our 7 day stay. The spacious yard around the house was great so that our 2 black labs could play and run a bit. And the close proximity to the lake and to lots of hiking, XC skiing and snowshoeing made our stay just right!
I like the location. Going south, you can get to Sugar Pine and Emerald Lake. Going North easy to get onto high way 80.
I showed my daughter what's DVD and VCR and they enjoyed high school musical serial.
My parent liked the place as well.
Kitchen is well equipped.
While the rest of Tahoe was buzzing with visitors, the Tahoma neighborhood was peaceful and welcoming. There are trails nearby, lovely neighbors, even a friendly little bear to keep things interesting. We loved the cabin and even our doggie made friends. Thank you for having us. Highly recommended for a quiet family vacation that’s close enough to activities yet also serene and beautiful.
5 feet of snow over three days. Driveway plow service was there every morning early. County plow not so much. Property is as advertised. Had a great time.
Cabin was larger than what we expected! Very spacious and would have been comfortable for 6 people, but it was just the two of us. Conveniently located just inside Tahoma. Quiet neighborhood, and close to hiking trails, beaches and state parks. We hiked eagle lake and granite lake/maggies peak trails in one day. These popular hikes were about a 8-10 min drive from the cabin. On our third day we rented a kayak out of Sugar Pine Point State Park and paddled to Meeks Bay and back. We took our pup swimming at rocky dog beach area of Meeks Bay twice and she loved it. Meeks bay is about 6 minutes from the cabin.
The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook meals most nights. Our last night we ordered pizza from West Shore Pizza, which was great. You can actually walk there from the cabin.
We had a great stay and would love to come back again, maybe for a winter trip since ski resorts are also close by!
This cozy cabin is well-equipped like a primary home would be and it is located in a quiet Tahoe neighborhood not far from the lake. It is centered on a big wooded lot so there is space between it and neighbors on all sides. It worked well for my elderly mom. I appreciated the warm sun on the outdoor picnic table in the morning. One night I startled a couple of bears (and they startled me!) as they ran through through the property when I happened to be outside. We checked each other out and then we all moved on :) We would look forward to staying here again.
Such a well equipped cabin with all the amenities. And the owner supplied pages of things to do and explicit instructions about check in and check out that made it easy.
We had a wonderful time, although we had to reschedule a couple of weeks later Roberta was very accommodating & the cabin was very cozy & comfortable! We will be definitely be coming back!!
Thanks again
Dan & Renee
This is a mellow property in a quiet and charming part of Tahoe (west shore). We found the local activities pretty relaxing (summer visit). We also loved the suggested activities by our host Roberta. Many things are walking distance. Others you could bike or quick car ride. Her cabin is quiet, clean and comfortable. She has WiFi, board games and movies. We would stay here again.
