"This is our second visit/stay in 7 years for my husband and I but this time we returned with our child, my father mother and brother....what a treat it was for them !! Both stays exceeded our expectations. The villa is absolutely beautiful. The hosts are very attentive. Fast to respond to any questions should they arise. Hamza is wonderful and takes great care of the villa grounds daily very discreetly, we can not praise him enough such a lovely kind man. Hamza's wife treated us to an amazing traditional Moroccan breakfast, which was fab for my family as it is their first time in Morocco. Over all we had an amazing stay and would highly recommended staying here to others. The only thing would be to an advantage is to hire a car due to location. We look forward to returning in the future"

We got massages at the house and used the hammam, plus were cooked for by Said's wonderful wife, whose name I'm so sorry but have forgotten. Warm, friendly and unforgettable."

"Dar Do is a lovely place to stay. We visited as a family of three adults and three children (8,10,13) staying for 14 days and there was plenty of room for us all. All the rooms are clean and spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and the sitting room has a large TV with USB ports for your own downloaded films. The garden is lovely, complete with tortoises - we counted nine but they were well hidden at times! We all loved the superb pool and the shady sun beds. Communication with the hosts via email was very quick and easy. Communication with Said was tricky, due to our terrible French, but he BBQ'd for us and we managed to order and eat his wife's delicious tagines (chicken as well as vegetarian option). It would be useful to have a car, as recommended, as there is not much in the immediate area, but found we could easily order an inexpensive large taxi via Said to ferry us to the Carrefour supermarket, the town and the beaches. (Driver Abdul was helpful and spoke a little English). As it was peak-season August, the beaches and Medina were very crowded with Moroccan families. Having been to the Beldi Country Club in Marrakech a number of times, we had lunch in Villa Beldi, which was just down the road and a welcome oasis from the heat of the Medina .. and it was certainly hot, 42 degrees at one point, dropping little at night - even the wind was hot. All in all, a fabulous holiday and we hope to return one day."

"Calm views away from Essaouira"

"We rented the property for four nights. The property was covered in dust. The pool was coverd with dirt, pool black worms and dead bugs. Our kids didn't feel safe to swim of course. I reminded the host frequently to come and clean. Finally, the pool was cleaned somehow by the third day. The interior of the house was dusty- spiders and Cocroaches everywhere. The rate wasn't cheap an I came to enjoy my stay not to worry about the property condition or the host's rudness. Please, if you're not happy, call Vrbo on day one so that they accomodate you to a better stay. I made a mistake and called the last day. Vrbo representative couldn't compensate us. On our last night, the worst happened. The septic sewer flooded in the kitchen and the kid's room. The smell was disgusting and my luggage got wet. The host came within 20 minutes with a pump to clean up. If only he did the clean up and shut his mouth. The blamed us because we weren't supposed to flush the toilet paper. The host didn't mention anything about the toilet paper nor there was a sign next to the toilet warning about that. He was complaining and whining the whole time. His son made a racist comment that the smell was bad because of our Moroccan food. My message to the host is if you're going to be racist or rude towards Moroccan on their homland go back to your country."
