Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Tadó?
Tadó is a small town in the Chocó region of Colombia, and for visitors, the best area to stay is generally in the town centre, particularly around the main square, Parque Principal.

This central area is where you'll find the most activity and convenience. The Parque Principal is the heart of Tadó, surrounded by the main church, local government buildings, and a selection of small shops and eateries. It's easy to navigate on foot, and most of what the town offers is within a short stroll.

For travellers looking to experience the local culture and have easy access to daily life, staying around the Parque Principal is ideal. It provides a genuine insight into the community, with local markets and community events often taking place nearby.
When is the best time to go to Tadó?
The best time to visit Tadó, Chocó, Colombia, is during the dry season, which typically runs from December to March.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall, making it more comfortable to explore the area's natural beauty and participate in outdoor activities. The weather is generally warm and sunny, superb for enjoying the local rivers and waterfalls.

This period is particularly suitable for adventurous travellers and those interested in nature. The reduced rain means trails are more accessible for hiking, and river excursions are less likely to be interrupted by heavy downpours.
