Oh but how you failed me during my recent stay at LaQuinta by Wyndham in Federal Way, Washington. In fact, the better question is how many ways did you fail me…

Now this is where it gets interesting.
Safety and Security: Again, single woman, grandmother actually, traveling alone. Got a great room on the first floor. Everything appeared perfect until I tried to toss the deadbolt to lock the door. It did not work! It was late, so I placed the ironing board against the door in hope that the noise a falling ironing board would make would wake me up.
Next day, Saturday, I notified the front desk who promptly sent a serviceman to assess the situation. Guess what? His conclusion was the same as mine. The deadbolt was broken or jammed, but it was not going to lock the door for me/us. Responding he’d call for a locksmith(?) someone more qualified. I agreed and I left for a very long day, visiting a terminally ill friend.
I get in around 10pm on Saturday evening and nope. The lock was still broken and surprisingly no one offer to move me to a more secure room. Guess the ironing board will get another workout.
