The property was lovely, had everything that we needed to have a great time in Tacoma. The location is excellent, and is within minutes to fun restaurants, parks, and the puget sound.
We had a great time during our stay. The house is in a great location, and is beautiful inside. We especially liked the outside covered patio. We hope to go back in the future!
Bodur’s Nest was the ideal place to host our family as we celebrated our daughter’s college graduation. The kitchen was well equipped and each of the 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds. Our little dog appreciated the easy backyard access. We had some sunny days for grilling and chilling on the patio. Plenty of driveway and street parking, too.
Vince was fantastic to communicate with from start to finish- friendly, helpful and involved. The place was very clean and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable and products (bathroom/shower and kitchen) were terrific. Having a washer and dryer there was helpful for my family during rainy weather.
Very convenient location; host maintained very good communications; property was clean; a little bit disappointed that there was no tissue paper provided anywhere; the paper towel roll in the kitchen only had few pieces left; no soap or body wash was provided in the shower, but with shampoo only!
This home was the perfect place to spend family time together. The kitchen was well stocked to cook a full Thanksgiving meal.
The host was awesome and checked in periodically to make sure we were comfortable.
The home was clean and well maintained . We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Bodurs Nest for 4 days and 3 nights. Vince and his wife were so easy to communicate with and made check-in so smooth. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to be able to make meals for our little family during our stay. We had some trouble with the sink but the hosts were quick to send a maintenance man to fix the issue. Our puppy loved the backyard and our kids enjoyed running back there too.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.
The house was spotless ! However bathroom 2 sink had an issue where the hot water was turned off at the valve. When I opened the valve it leajed into the pan that was already under the sink, which indicates at least maintenance knew. The owner rest as quickly.
We had a great time at this house, it was perfect for my two teenagers and myself. The beds were super comfy and kitchen had most things you would need. The location is in a great area of Tacoma that is clearly growing and becoming the place to be. I felt super safe and went down to Owen Beach and the waterfront. If you like walking or running, you can easily reach some nice trails near the aquarium. I loved watching the ferry cross over to Vashon Island. I would definitely stay here again, thanks for the opportunity!
This place is great. Clean, two bathrooms, great lounging area, comfortable beds, very friendly and communicative host. It is in an unbeatable location in Tacoma. We walked to dinner at night, made a quick stop for snacks at the co-op and jogged to the park in the morning. It was a short Lyft ride to the tacoma dome and totally worth it to not be staying downtown.
One word of warning for anyone who thinks just signing up for this location on VRBO will be the end of it- there is a whole separate platform and process that this host uses to track rentals where they will again take your credit card and require pictures of you and a login to their personal platform, etc. It's a little excessive. And honestly, when I first started the process, I did wonder if I was getting my identity stolen. I had some trouble getting my normal internet browser to communicate with the platform, so I spent a fair amount of time trying to get this host a selfie of all things. In the end, though, I would say the extra time was worth it, and I definitely do understand the impulse to have that extra layer of protection for the host and his property. I would definitely stay at this location again.
I stayed one night with my 4 friends in this home and here is a description of the pros and cons of this short trip:
Pros: This home is beautifully updated and very well thought out. There were plenty of portable heaters and blankets. They had a well stocked kitchen of appliances and supplies including an air fryer, rice cooker, etc. Cabinets were appropriately labeled making things easy to find. Plenty of games. Small thoughtful touches were found throughout the house like ear plugs in the nightstand. The host was very quick to respond and was a great communicator during our stay and after. This easily could have been a 5 star stay until the next morning occurred.
Cons: The day we arrived, my friends noticed ants on the kitchen island at two different times. We didn’t think much of it. The next morning I went to grab a cookie from the batch that was made last night and when I touched it, ants came crawling out from under the cookies. I had to throw away all the cookies but it wasn’t a big deal. I let the host know and they thanked me for telling them. Later my friend woke up and told me she woke up with 3 ants on her. We also found the ants had gotten into more than just the cookies and had to trash more food, including food that was unopened in a paper box. I was also bitten by an ant on my chest. I updated the host on the situation and they said they would look into it. I informed the host the ants negatively affected our stay and they did not offer compensation.
Two of our party of 6 backed out and it may have been crowded with 6 adults and 2 dogs. With four ppl it was just right. Close to the water, right up the hill from the ferry, short drive to old town, downtown and Point Defiance. Cute fully fenced backyard, perfect for hanging out. No A/C.
Vince and Anne’s rental was perfect for our stay. The home was decorated very nicely, comfortable, and immaculate; kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need, with spices, oils, coffee….the cabinets and drawers were labeled, so you didn’t hunt forever for a spatula! Much appreciated:)
Beds and sheets were so comfortable and we liked all the nice touches.. great products in the bathrooms.
Our daughter dogs love the backyard. And so did we!
The home in a quiet neighborhood, close proximity to SeaTac , restaurants, the zoo, and also Point Defiance Park which is close and it was wonderful to walk the dogs along the water and have a bite to eat.
Great place, highly recommend!
