Nicely located with views from Loess Hills bluffs, but not far off a good road. Small but well equipped kitchen, lots of seating, quiet bedrooms. My dog loved the terraced meadows where he could run off-leash.

What a great place to stay! So peaceful and quiet. The kids enjoyed exploring outside, playing on the decks and looking for the kitties. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Property was exactly as listed. Beds were comfortable, we slept 6 in this house comfortably. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the large deck and overlook in the woods. The cell service wasn't good, wifi was ok.

Loved our stay in this lovely home! Well stocked kitchen, lots of outdoors areas to enjoy and solitude. Limited cell service so prepare ahead of time. But WiFi is available and there’s plenty to do - games, puzzles, books, hot tub, etc. We will be back!

Country Living

Enjoyed the property and the surrounding area. During the day went bird watching at Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge. Hiked in Blackburn State Park and followed the Loess Bluff Scenic Byway. And at night grilled out on the deck and relaxed in the hot tub. Even though it was quite cool the tub was a perfect 103. Played every game we could find even ping pong and corn hole. Watched movies, read books and took naps. If this is what you’re looking for then this is the place.

We were invited to a 30th birthday party this last weekend. The atmosphere at night is magical. The lights on the walkway. The cute set up in the trees feels like we are in an exotic travel destination. There is a hot tub too. The cutest set up. Very trendy. Extremely clean. This was a fantastic stay! It was cozy, quiet, and very clean. It's clear this place is loved by the hosts. The decor is delightful and there are little touches throughout the space that let you know your comfort and enjoyment are top priority. We loved being tucked away in nature, had all the utensils needed for cooking our meals, and kept entertained with ping pong and board games galore. The hosts' home is also on the property but we didn't see them at all- it really feels very private and secluded. Beautiful sunrises and views for miles. We didn't dip in the hot tub but it was there and ready for us had we decided to. This is a true gem- we hope we can return soon and enjoy another escape from the hustle and bustle of city life! We highly recommend this stay to anyone and everyone!!

Perfect Family Getaway to Unplug

We absolutely loved this place. It was a perfect mix of cabin feel but still all the amenities to keep comfortable. The outdoor area was fun for the kids to explore and cute cats on the property were a bonus for them as well. Lots of outdoor space to sit and relax and read a book or play a game. The hot tub was perfect in the evening or during the cool day while it was raining because that area is covered. The decor was so cute and homey. It was nice to have each kid have their own bed and even have space to separate if we needed. You’re basically in the middle of no where so all calls and texts didn’t always go through but the wifi worked well for multiple devices.

Closer than you think

Beautiful cabin and exterior decks with a covered area. Close to the owners home but still felt private. Clean and well stocked.Remote but close to everything. Want to explore Nebraska City and the several options there it’s within 25 minutes. Need gas and a few basic items? Tabor is 7 miles away. Omaha? We were to the zoo in 30 minutes. Located in the beautiful Loess Hills with trails at Waubonsie State Park 15 minutes away. Host’s were very responsive and even offered shelter in their own home if the storms in the area during the evenings of our stay produced tornadoes.

Exactly what we hoped for

This was a very relaxing aesthetically pleasing place (so many small details to make us comfortable!) So much better than a typical vacation rental. This felt like a home away from home nestled in the woods and near wonderful hiking. We were very happy in the space cooking on the fabulous grill, and in the well-equipped kitchen. The peaceful coziness made for a true break. The beds were comfortable, and the design and layout were wonderful. We had privacy from each other as well as much needed together time as a family. The decks and various sitting areas are pleasant and filled with birdsong and breezes. We hiked Sunset Ridge in Wabaunsee State Park and ate lunch at the Horseshoe Cafe in Sidney. Otherwise, we were happy as can be at this fabulous host's property. I agree with the other reviews - they are attentive and responsive and you enjoy full privacy even though they are next door. The design separates you.

Lovely hidden getaway

This is a guest house - the owners live on the same property which initially feels a little close but the backyard wooded area you see in pictures is completely out of view from the main/owners house - so it feels very private. The hot tub is a 6-person inflatable and it had us thinking we need to invest in one! While 6 people would fit - 4 is roomy and comfortable. In my opinion, the house seemed larger in person than what is depicted in photos - so this was a nice surprise! The kitchen is very well stocked. And holy moly, if you find yourself bored staying here I don't know what to tell you! There are games/activities galore - huge jenga, ping pong, bag toss, many many board games, cards, books, etc, etc. There is zero cellular service but the wifi worked great! We loved the overall vibe/decor of the house and pets being allowed was a huge bonus!

We really enjoyed our weekend away here. We played lots of games, made yummy meals and went to Nebraska City to the AppleJack festival. The jacuzzi was nice and warm and very clean! The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable! Just driving 45 minutes out of Omaha to here- made us feel unplugged and relaxed! And it used to be a winery!!! How cute is that! Loved it!
