If it's your first time travelling during COVID-19  you'll notice plenty of new restrictions and standards in place. Take note of these tips and make your escape to Tableland a smooth one:

• Research what, if any, rules or restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check in advance.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• To minimize the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray scanning.
• Place any personal items (e.g, keys, phone and coins) in your carry-on rather than a bin to reduce handling during the screening process.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA officer will need to open your bag for inspection.
