Residence Cimone is located on the second floor of a villa in the historic center of the city, but by the sea: from its terraces you can admire a breathtaking view, ranging from sea caves to the largest port and the island of Ortigia.

Is just 15 minutes' walk from Ortigia, Siracusa center.

Direct access to the sea via a convenient public staircase, you can reach on foot, or by electric bus, all the cultural points of interest.

For nature lovers, 500 meters from the Residence Cimone starts a bike path that runs along the route of the old railway; a path surrounded by Mediterranean flora, along the sea, leading up to the tuna fishery Santa Panagia.

The apartment was completely renovated in 2014, and consists of a bright and beautiful bedroom with window overlooking the sea, furnished with a double bed and equipped with air conditioning, heater and digital TV, private bathroom with large shower; There is also a fully fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge and freezer, which leads to the spacious terraces with sun loungers. And 'including the wi-fi.

Spacious accommodation directly on the sea. Commanding view from one of the two patios of the coastline punctuated by amazing sunrises. You have expansive outdoor living space to your own. The rooms were clean and efficient. The kitchen was well supplied and stocked with the things you would expect and need for making your own meals. Gas range top, full size, refrigerator / freezer with a nice eating area for four people. The bed was firm, but that is our preference. Key access and security was very good. A short drive to downtown and the historic district. Street parking was always available right in front of the building and was free. A rocky beach access is also adjacent to the property. A very restful and quiet neighborhood. There are no restaurants or retail to speak of close by but that did not detract from our three day stay. We had a great break in Syracuse, we would return to this property without hesitation.

Beautiful views and great host.

Overall 10/10, If you want to be on the island where everything is, it is a little walk (20 minutes) If you have a car no issues. The terrace is stunning and the unit is extremely well equipped. The hosts were very nice and easy going. Cannot beat the view.

Amazing terrace!

Absolutely amazing Terrace overlooking the ocean! We spent hours reading and relaxing with the sound of the waves. Such a peaceful vacation. Also within walking distance to Ortigia.

Exactly as expected

We knew exactly what we had booked from the images and the description which were accurate.. The sea facing balcony was everything we had wanted. It was very hot but the air conditioning in the bedroom provided sanctuary.

Location, location, location!

Literally steps away from a beautiful waterfront, and within walking distance of all amenities (groceries, shops), you cannot ask for a better location for a wonderful holiday stay. Also a mere 10-minute drive to Ortigia, but also possible by foot (lovely 30-minute stroll). The apartment itself is well-equipped with two large terraces, one offer offering stunning oceanfront views.

I loved having the big terrace! Had nice meals and watched the sunrise on the water in front. I went swimming all the time (wear proper swim shoes) in the crystal waters and walked to town everyday (25 minutes). The only criticism is the drainage in the shower that needs improvement. Bit loved every minute of my stay.

Magical Terrace

This is a charming apartment with the most phenomenal terrace. The property is steps from the Ionian Sea. After a swim, we relaxed on the private terrace - it was heaven. We sat and enjoyed the view, morning, noon and night. We were treated to a full moon on a clear night which was a very memorable experience. Our host, Francesco, was very responsive to any questions we had. Staying in this home is a personal experience as you are interacting with the family that owns the home, not a corporation. It was a lovely experience. If you looking for a property where you can be mesmerized by the sea each day and spend peaceful hours watching boats, ships, see and hear waves crashing over rocks, this is the property for you. There is no better view to be had. Thanks to Francesco and his father for making our stay so enjoyable.

Rooftop Heaven

I could not believe just how lucky I was when I walked into the little rooftop apartment. Beautifully bright, lovely size for just me (or a couple). Clean. A lovely size bathroom and bedroom… but the real win here are the two very large patios (we are on the roof of the building). Just a stone throw from the sea the balcony sits above the sound of waves and is greeted by the sunrise directly in front of you each morning. Absolutely stunning! And just a 15minutes walk to the main center. I would stay again! And again!

Great Balcony

Hosts were very good when our flights were cancelled and changed due to Air Traffic Controllers computer crash. Francesco was still there to meet us upon late arrival because of flight delay. Outstanding feature of this property is the huge balcony overlooking the sea in a very quiet area. A ‘safe’ walk into ortiga which can be done in 15-20 minutes.

2 fabulous terraces

We spent a very nice week in Francesco's apartment. We received a friendly welcome from him. There was always a parking space in the dead-end street. The furnishings and available space were sufficient for us. However, we chose the place for the terraces and the view was truly phenomenal on all sides. It was still very warm in October and the mosquitoes were active in the evening. If you want to sleep with open windows, it is best to bring a mosquito net, but there is also air conditioning. To visit the archaeological park and Ortigia we rented an electric bicycle from Greenbike. They brought the bicycle to our apartment and thanks to the bicycle we avoided traffic jams and parking problems in the center. Highly recommended.

Incredibile Vista with helpful and responsive Hosts

The view is unmatched. Very easy to get to ruins and Ortigia by foot. Greeted by smiling and welcoming host who immediately offered to help me get luggage upstairs, and again as I was leaving. This was most appreciated as we all know to enjoy a view we ascend. … The view leaves one breathless and thankful for the assistance. I found the view much more incredible and panoramic than the fotos on the listing site. The sunrises are of the most photogenic I’ve experienced. Here you will find natural shade in the afternoons which is quite pleasant even on the hottest season. And there’s the back of the apartment with a huge terrace that stays cool in mornings. Francesco was very prompt and responsive with an issue I had with the shower. After researching and reading the reviews of many places in the area, I was not disappointed and I recommend this place… I’d definitely stay here again if in town.

Fabulous terrace

This apartment is on the second floor - the advantage being that you step directly onto 2 terraces - one of which faces directly across the ocean. The view is absolutely fabulous and more than enough reason to stay here. There is a rocky beach here where it is possible to swim but you really need some sort of footwear to protect your feet. The apartment was well equipped however there was no oven or microwave in the kitchen and the bathroom had no hooks for towels or bathrobes while we were there. We also had trouble with the shower water not draining away - when we mentioned it to Francesco, he explained that you need to pour cleaning agent down the drain regularly. The bed was very comfy and the air conditioning worked very well. It is only 15 mins walk (level) to Ortigia however the neighbourhood has a disappointingly dirty and neglected air about it. Strange when you see how clean and well kept Ortigia is. Ortigia itself is wonderful - great architecture, views and restaurants/bars. The nearby Greek and Roman amphitheatres were within walking distance and definitely worth visiting. There were local buses and we did use them but you don’t really need them. Be warned, the trains have a capacity limit - we couldn’t buy tickets for a morning train to Noto because it was full so best to buy in advance. And the bus timetable we got from the Tourist centre was out of date. Our host was very friendly and helpful and we would stay here again.

The main attraction is the incredible view. Loved sitting on the terrace in the evenings. There’s is also a swimming area right downstairs - which is great for sunrise swims. The area is lovely and quiet & building safe. The owner is very helpful, great with communication & very accommodating. While there are no shops on the door step - they are about a km walk away. Two lovely beaches with sunbeds only 400m in either direction from apartment, and lovely restaurants 400m away too. The apartment could do with a little maintenance… but I really loved my stay here. Thank you

We stayed for 3 nights. Overday it was sunny, so we lived on the terrace and the sea is just some steps away.The appartment was practical but bathroom can use an update. Bed wobbled a bit.

Fantastic apartment !

Beautifully clean, modern apartment, with great terrace . The apartment is an easy 15 minute walk to the Island of Ortigia, and within walking distance of the major archeological ruins (about 1.5 kilometers). Fantastic!

The apartment was as seen on line. Two beautiful big terraces, one over looking the sea and bearable when it was very hot with the sea breeze. We went in the sea most days. Very rocky, but lovely once over them. We didn’t hire a car and walked everywhere. Tried the Syraka Sicilian Restaurant recommended on the board in kitchen. Excellent and returned again. Francesco and Laura were lovely and helpful. Wish we had stayed longer than a week.
