Central and Lovely accommodation
Lovely boutique style accommodation in the heart of Swellendam. Within walking distance of very popular restaurants. We did not eat there but the restaurants seem to get booked up quickly.

Charming guesthouse
A really nice guest house. On our way from Cape Town to George we stayed there one night. We found it so pleasant that on the way back we decided to stay two nights there. Small, but nice rooms. A beautiful pool area. A decent breakfaST. The only thing to not making one happy was the internet connection, obviously valid in many places in Swellendam.

Great guesthouse, excellent service!
The Guesthouse is very clean, has all necessary amenities, nice decor, every little detail is thought through. Secure car park, very nice breakfast, great staff and owners. We were even offered a free upgrade to a better room! Highly recommended!

This was a delightful place to stay with extremely welcoming and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and spacious with modern decor and personal touches and included a fridge. It’s much more a hotel than a guesthouse experience. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of cereals, toasts, etc. inc. home made muffins and guests choose a freshly cooked to order English breakfast or a choice of omelettes. The garden and pool provides a little oasis of calm but each room has a couple of chairs with tables outside the door to remain private if guests prefer. The Elianthe is well located at one end of the main road and it took about 20 mins to stroll down to the NG Kerk towards the other end past shops, restaurants, etc. Note: It’s advisable to check in by 7pm for a personal welcome, and not 9pm as stated by Expedia.

We could not feel more welcome, such a friendly and beautiful place with great hosts and staff. Breakfast was incredible, both quality of food and service. The room spacious and clean, and it felt like a safe area. Would definitely come back, one of the most memorable places we have stayed so far.

Eingangstür zum Zimmer lagt quasi auf der Straße und war schlecht zu verschließen. Die Zimmer waren zur Straße ausgerichtet (ca.10m) und waren in der Woche wegen des Durchgangsverkehrs viel zu laut.

Schönes Guesthouse mit hübschen Garten und Pool. Frühstück ist sehr gut jedoch erst ab 8 Uhr, was doch schon recht spät ist. Sehr gute Restaurants direkt nebenan.

Schöne Unterkunft mit viel liebe zum Detail der Gastgeberin sowie sehr freundlichem Personal. Garten- und Poolbereich haben uns besonders gut gefallen. Frühstück entsprechend kleiner Unterkunft nicht riesig, aber ausreichend. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

Lugar bastante charmoso e pessoal atencioso
O quarto é grande, conta com várias comodidades. Limpo, bem decorado. Café da manhã muito bom. Por se tratar de uma propriedade pequena, não há recepção 24h. Isso foi nos foi avisado por e-mail antes de nossa chegada (ponto positivo). Porém, é bastante inconveniente para um estrangeiro ter que telefonar para um número local para receber as instruções de como entrar no seu quarto. Um dia antes, enviamos mensagens por meio do site hoteis.com e pelo e-mail do hotel, mas não obtivemos resposta. Apenas depois de telefonar, nos informaram que, ao chegar no hotel, teríamos que telefonar para pedir mais informações. Por sorte, tínhamos um celular sul-africano. A atendente nos orientou a colocar um número no cofre onde ficava guardada a chave e nos explicou tudo pelo telefone. Absolutamente tudo já estava preparado para nós, o que foi ótimo. Apenas deixo essa crítica, de que essas instruções sejam passadas por e-mail, pois é difícil para estrangeiros terem acesso a telefones na rua.

Dear guest Thank you for the respond.Elianthe Guesthouse only arrived on hotels.com's website a few months ago. We were not aware that the check-in time was incorrect as 21h00 on the website as it should have been 19h00. We have done the correction and are sorry for any inconvenience. Kind regards
