Autumn spring tide floods river Lliw The river Lliw, a tributary of the river Loughor floods within minutes becoming almost impassable. Impossible for cars (though some tried to our amusement) but if you own a Jeep 4X4 just some fun in a day's driving! This happens about 3-4 times a year on high spring tides - it can get a lot higher than this on especially high tides! Picture was taken about 45 minutes after sunset and the light is predominantly moonlight and residual sunlight. The picture is of a submerged road, layby and in the distance the West Wales railway line bridge just in front of the main road bridge.

Loughor bridge The road from Llanelli runs over the Loughor estuary towards Gorseinon. Just behind it the supports of the parallel rail bridge can be seen. This is the view from a view point on the east bank, upstream.

Room clean, but a lot of cobwebs at the top of the head board. Topper mattress was lumpy in the middle of the bed. Room was only cleaned on day of arrive, bin emptied on second day and cups cleaned. Recreptoon staff and bar staff lovely. Breakfast nice apart from cold coffee and toast.
