"We absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in a balcony room so I could wave to my daughter in Seren that towers above The Grand. We arrived Wednesday and had the roast lunch which was the best I have had.
We have stayed in our room before 403 which is spacious and cosy. Wow factor my husband had had it decorated with helium balloons, a banner and real rose petals for my birthday. Chocolate strawberries and Prosecco was on a table with a note from the hotel. Well worth the money paid. He was very pleased with the result.
The hotel is old and somethings are not perfect and the standard of a more expensive hotel - dent in bathroom door that has been filled in, bed that is as soft as a cloud but rolls you towards the middle. But I prefer an older hotel with character and it was spotless, warm and welcoming.
The chef in the kitchen is superb. The presentation of the food is excellent and I have never had such choice for breakfast. You can have a continental breakfast with meats, cheeses and all types of fresh fruit and berries and pastries. Then have a full cooked breakfast, avacado or salmon dishes. Hence the weight gain.
The car park is right next door - £5 a day.
Yes the area looks a bit scruffy and there are some characters about but it is life and interesting.
All the staff were so helpful, there is no other hotel we will use in Swansea. All our memories are happy. Take me back now. "

"The hotel was ideally located
The room was spacious
Only issue was the room service which we had to abandon because it was very complex to even set up
It forced us to see alternative dinner plans

"I was more than happy with all aspects of my staff. It would be nice if there was a restaurant as at 75 I wasn't prepared to go out on the evenings for food however overall a very pleasant stay and I would stay there again."
