Weekend getaway
The house was very impressive on the inside. From the outside you think it was this small place but it really had very nice amenities. Unfortunately, we had some rain on our vacation which prevented us from doing the things that we wanted to do but overall I would rate the house as a five and we enjoyed our stay. Overall, very nice place. Information listed on VRBO was not current (Wi-Fi and lockbox/entry) but cozy location. I would recommend visitors check the outside deck area before children or pets go outside. A fishing line and baited hook was left in the ground and could have caused serious injuries.

Lovely place but a few issues
House is charming and (we had good weather) great for enjoying peaceful reads on the patio overlooking the lake. Views from inside also great, but indoor seating less inviting. Check-in not perfect -- cleaner had had car trouble and was still at work, plus laundry load left in dryer. One of the windows was stuck open, unable to close it. Kitchen short on plates, and one or two USB ports would be helpful for phone recharging. But overall a very pretty and well maintained home, located in a picturesque and interesting area.

Really wonderful in every way
This house, property, and location are as nice, or nicer than the listing can display. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet and beauty of the property. The house is fully furnished and supplied with everything you would need. I’ve stayed at many VRBO properties. This one ranks with the best. My biggest concern was to make sure I left it as pristine as I found it!! FIVE STARS

Hi Michael thanks for the feedback. Yes the shoe is just for hygiene/covid concerns Also when we come inside the house with shoes we are wearing outside it brings a lot of negative energy into the house and disturbs the sanity of the home :)

What a lovely lake oasis! If you are looking to escape the busyness and just relax in peace with beautiful views, then this is the place for you. Everything about our stay was wonderful! The hosts were very responsive and pleasantly surprised us with flowers for our anniversary. What a special added touch. We would definitely recommend this location!!

We were on Cloud 9 at the In The Cloud Lake House
The house was well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room both inside and out to unplug and relax. We caught 24 fish (4 different species) right off the deck during our short stay. Thank you Sunetra for being a wonderful host and for the quick responses to any questions we had. We hope to be back soon!

Very quaint cottage on a quiet lake in a wooded area.
My brother and I enjoyed our stay here for four days. The owner and the property manager/ house cleaner/ repair person, were very nice and attentive to any of our needs. The area is quite secluded and not a lot to see, other than a couple of old bridges. There are some small villages with Pubs and stores nearby. The lake was not at its best while we were there. A lot of tree debris was drifting on top of the water and not very nice to look at. However, there are lots of Geese and beavers in the lake and I saw a Gray heron. All in all, it was a nice relaxing stay for us, it allowed us time to reminisce. The house was very clean.

Wonderful getaway!
Peaceful, quiet, beautiful, clean, great kitchen, home excellently equipped and so much more! When you thought you forgot to bring something... bammm, you found it already there! Everything about our stay was wonderful!Nearby Liberty, NY has Dunkin, Shoprite and cute town shops. You really don't need to leave the property! It's a vacation in itself! Fishing right from the deck was a definite plus!

Beautiful Cottage
This place is gorgeous! Everything we needed was available so we could just chill out and relax. The lake was a bit disappointing as there were a lot of lily pads in the inlet. Also many of the restaurants were not open in the early part of the week - so check the schedules. We would stay again

Dear Chris, Thanks for the review as we speak we formed an association to take care of the lake moving forward and you will be glad to know the lake is getting its first treatment towards getting it cleaned of all lily pads. once treated we will not see whatever little lily pads you have seen ...and we will keep treating the lake with environmentally safe until they don't come back again Thanks Sunetra

Dear Peter so sorry to hear about your experience which makes you give us 1 rating and that you couldn't stay for one night. Trust me we are like you normal folks like you so when you say something we get it ....Me and my wife hosting guests in the house for the last 3.5 years and together with vrbo and all other platforms hosted exactly 581 guests in total at same house and no one gave us 1 rating and no one left the house right away. ( Please check it yourself) The moment you stepped in you started by asking for a refund and then you made some valid point - you had no issue with the cleaning + you had an issue with where is the second bedroom ( which I explained the room next to the kitchen at the lower level with a daybed where 2 people can sleep is the second bedroom) + I also told you we have a queen size inflatable bed for 2 + and the fireplace inside the house cannot be used for insurance liability issue even thou it was extremely hot that day ( so I have no idea why you needed a fireplace inside the house ) something you rightly pointed out and i removed the same from the listing .....then you said things and I am very very sorry to say JUST TO MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK ......which I was more than happy to process a partial refund since its not fair to take full money when you are not staying with us even thou its not our fault. But after your 1 rating, I don't think you should accept any refund anymore. I am sure other potential guests who want to book the place for their family will read other ratings and comments given my 500+ guests for the house here and elsewhere .....good luck and sorry for the inconvience caused.

The property is nice. The lawn needed mowing and we couldn't use the wood burning stove due to insurance regulations, which was not stated in the description of the property at time of booking. We couldn't check in at 3:00pm because the cleaning person was still there until 4:00pm. If you want solitude this is your place. There is not alot to do around there, at the time we were there.

Hi Kimberlee Thanks for your feedback and sorry we didn't meet all your expectations. Due to heavy rain, my lawn mowing last to skip 2 weeks of mowing since it's impossible to move through the lawn with so much water in it. I checked with my cleaning lady who's cleaning my house for the last 4 years that you guys pulled in when she was leaving - am sorry if it's true she took extra time to clean since cleaning takes time if it's the same day check-in and check-out. Yes, the wood pellet stove cannot be used since the insurance company would not cover the liability so very sorry for that. I know you came with a dog which is ok but my cleaning lady charged me an extra $25 for the linen washing and she found some kind of brown substances, either feces / throw up which I am not charging you for ... take care

Quaint Lake House
We had a really great time! The owners provided us with a contact for yoga so we had a private session which was amazing! The property was clean and exactly like the pictures. There isn't much around so you should come prepared with food and drinks if you don't have a plan. There's coffee and teas stocked though. The only thing that wasn't great was we didn't have internet during our stay. The router needed to be replaced so we couldn't connect until we were about to check out. That may be good if you are looking to disconnect for a bit. There isn't good service out there so you need to connect to the wifi to use your phone. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves. Everyone we met was really nice and the views were amazing.

We wanted a quiet long weekend getaway for just the girls and this was perfect. Lake views from both bedrooms and livingroom, fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Anniversary Heaven!
We wanted a quiet place, in the mountains, and we found it! This house was so cute and clean and well stocked. We were able to have a nice dinner for our anniversary nearby, and the scenery was PHENOMENAL! Autumn in the Catskills is just freaking beautiful! Some of the reviews reference the house being on a busy road, and during the day, it’s true that the road can be loud. But at night…you would never know. The traffic dies down and it’s just gorgeous. Day traffic didn’t bother us as we spent the majority of our days exploring the area. It was a VERY pleasant surprise to find ourselves driving past the memorial for Woodstock! I didn’t even realize that’s where we were, and all of a sudden the venue was there. Truly breathtaking.

Beautiful and unique property
The setting of this place is stunning, and the interior is spacious and filled with cozy spots for relaxing. We were caught off guard by a few of the requirements -- e.g., no shoes in the house, and "do not open" signs on some of the windows -- but can understand the need to be careful with the property. Sunetra was a very gracious host, easy to communicate with and caring when we had to leave earlier than planned.

Private lake house close to Bethel
This house was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was high-end. This is really a one bedroom with guest quarters. The pellet stove in the kitchen was no longer usable but the heat from the guest room/ living room was sufficient. The view of the lake is beautiful from the deck and the bedroom. Even though we are on the main road we rarely heard any cars from inside the house. We are less than 15 minutes to Bethel/Woodstock and local restaurants. Recommend Brother Bruno’s Pizza & Restaurant for great Italian food. Overall, we had a great stay and the owners are experts at presenting their home. Recommend…

Beautiful House on the Lake
Absolutely perfect house on the lake. Nothing more you could ask for. My husband started each morning fishing on the deck. Loved Bethel Woods Museum. Hit the casino one night. Beautiful, peaceful small home. Close to Bethel Woods
A friend and I needed a place to stay for a concert at Bethel Woods. It’s a quick drive to the venue. The house is renovated and lovely. It was very clean. We didn’t rent hoping to use the lake, but if we did it would’ve been disappointing. The house is at the end of the lake and it was covered in greenery—not really attractive for water sports. The lake did not look like the photo. But otherwise, I highly, highly recommend!!!!! The lake condition didn’t detract from the otherwise peaceful setting.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property! It was only a short drive to The Bethel Arts Center and within 20 minutes of some great local towns(Livingston Manor was great!) Only downside was that the check in time was at 3 PM and when we arrived the cleaner was still in the process of cleaning. In any case, it's a beautiful home!

Very nice, private lakeside home. Had everything we needed. Only discrepancy from the listing is that there technically isn't 2 twins upstairs, it's a chaise and a couch, but they have provided a queen air mattress which worked just fine. We had a wonderful overnight stay and enjoyed the firepit and deck for our morning coffee.

We loved this house! My husband was able to fish off the deck and the kayaks they have available. I couldn't believe how cute the house is. Such a relaxing and quiet environment. They have tons of extra pillows, comforters and sheets. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you need. The only downside is there is no service for the most part so you have to look up directions to get anywhere before you leave the house. Not a big deal, just a heads up. Thank you so much for letting us stay and relax!
