What a wonderful stay. Super staff, really nice facilities. We booked last minute and after so long on the road camping, to have such a comfortable welcoming place to stay was a godsend. Room is very clean, very well equipped and the staff is ready to help with absolutely anything. I can't thank them enough.

We stayed here for three nights and loved it. It’s great location, walkable to everything Swakopmund has to offer. Staff was fantastic and so helpful is booking activities for us as well giving recommendations. The soundproofing in the rooms is not good, we could hear other guest etc. besides that, it was a great stay.

Fairly pleasant stay

Staff super friendly and helpful. Place conveniently situated and safe. Well equipped. Aircon did not work though. Couldn’t get it fixed in our 2 days of stay, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Housekeeping not quite up to standard. Alternative solutions could’ve been offered as a nice hospitality gesture.

Nice stay at Desert Sands

I booked the one bedroom apartment, as I thought the studio might be small. Unlikely, as my apartment was massive and I slept on the mezzanine level. The weather wasn't great when I was there, and the mezzanine was much warmer than downstairs regardless of whether the heating was on or not. Apartment was lovely, and clean, with a very well-equipped kitchen. Ladies on reception were delightful and always willing to help. Only negatives I have is that there is no lift (and fairly narrow staircases) and no staff around once reception closes. I was slightly concerned that if I had a problem with my key that I wouldn't be able to access the complex after 8.30/9pm.

Better than excellent. Amazing. Exceptional. Great location. Easy to walk everywhere. Service outstanding and lovely apartment. Can’t imagine there’s a better place to stay in Swakopmund.

Swakop Stopover

Nice room. Fairly good location. It's not in the heart of Swakop but the town is small. It took me around 8 minutes (average pace) to walk to the Tug Restaurant (very good and a must-visit). Very friendly and helpful staff. Ample safe parking. Breakfast was excellent. Modern facilities in the room. Wifi very good. It's very handy for getting onto the main road to Walvis bay. The only minor issue was that the walls are a bit thin so I could hear voices next door. Not a big deal but worth a mention. I would definitely stay here again.
