"5 stars for all staff, absolutely excellent service, nothing was a problem!!! We have excepted much more from the food though, using frozen vegetable in meals, meals which should be served as hot was almost cold, instant taste in meals, etc... We had the same poor experience with food at hotel Konsel. It seems like both hotels in area are aware of being only ones with restaurants and are not bothered about quality of food...It is shame as mountain food has always been the best quality. "

"This hotel is a 10 minute ride to downtown and the train station. The rooms are great, however there is no air conditioning, which was miserable in the heat of summer. Even if you cool the room down at night by opening doors, for some reason the room heats up again. It was 28.5 degrees Celsius in my room with no way to cool it down. They say they have "cooling units" that they can put in your room, but these are no more than fans that blow hot air around. Staff was pleasant and helpful... when...

Hotel Break Hradec Králové

Hotel Break Hradec Králové

8/10 Good
"I have stayed at this hotel twice—once for 10 nights and the second time for 5 nights. Both of my stays were for business purposes. I appreciated the hotel's location, the complimentary parking, the excellent breakfast (the croissants and breads, in particular, were wonderful), and the variety and quality of the food served in the restaurant. During my most recent checkout, I provided feedback to the receptionist regarding two issues: First, there were constantly flies in the restaurant, which I found quite unpleasant. Second, regarding the internet connection—while the speed was perfectly fine, you are required to log in again every single time you return to the hotel from work. Furthermore, the connection drops throughout the night, necessitating yet another login. I suggested that they should change this system, as a single login should be sufficient for the entire duration of one's stay."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Svídnice?
The best area to stay in Svídnice is within the village itself, particularly near the main square or along the road leading towards the Svídnice Chateau.

This central part of Svídnice offers easy access to the village's main points of interest. It's a compact area where you'll find local shops, traditional pubs, and the Church of Saint George, a prominent landmark. The general layout is quite open, with historical buildings dotted along a few main streets.

Couples looking for a quiet, relaxing escape will find staying in Svídnice ideal. The village provides a calm base for enjoying the local countryside and exploring nearby historical sites. You're well-placed to enjoy leisurely walks and discover the local culture without the bustle of a larger town.

Families might also appreciate the peaceful surroundings of Svídnice. The village offers a nice environment for children to enjoy the outdoors, and many accommodations provide gardens or open spaces.
When is the best time to go to Svídnice?
The best time to go to Svídnice is during the late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.

During late spring, the countryside is in full bloom, making it a beautiful time for exploring the natural surroundings. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 20°C, great for outdoor activities like hiking or cycling. This period is ideal for couples looking for a romantic escape amidst scenic landscapes, perhaps enjoying a leisurely walk through the nearby forests or along the local rivers.

Early autumn also offers agreeable weather, with average temperatures between 10°C and 18°C, and the deciduous trees display lovely colours. This season is particularly good for those interested in cultural exploration without the summer rush. Families might find this time appealing for visiting local historical sites or enjoying quiet picnics, as the milder climate is comfortable for all ages and there's more space to explore.

While summer (July-August) has the warmest weather, it also sees the most tourists, especially at popular attractions in the wider region.
