"A rather lovely spacious place and for an excellent off-season price, but we felt like we were a bother. As well, we couldn’t find an open restaurant for supper anywhere within walking distance, even with the help of 3 different locals. A bar graciously provided grilled cheese and ham. Being alone in the “hotel” with no desk as expected didn’t help. The place was just not friendly and not helpful— you’re on your own!"

"This is my favourite of the Liburnia hotels in Opatija, much more personal than the bigger Ambassador. The staff are always super-friendly, and the rooms are always clean and well-equipped. The food is always good, and the indoor pool is great for when it is too cold to use the outdoor one."

"The hotel needs a refresh! Carpet was thread bare and the stairs leading to the beach were in desperate need of a good cleaning. All little things that add up to a not so good rating. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Buffet breakfast was good."
