"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

Add to this an excellent choice on the restaurant menu and a super location for exploring Knaresborough and you have an extremely impressive Inn. Well worth considering if you are staying in the area. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and recommend the Knaresborough Inn very highly."
