"This is an older, no frills hotel with responsive staff, great location clean pool and direct access to the beach. Don’t be put off by the dated lobby. This fit out needs perfectly when a hurricane caused us to leave an OBX Airbnb, early we wanted a budget hotel outside the hurricane zone. Our room was freshly updated and very clean, comfortable beds, with a stunning view of the ocean from our balcony.
Brittania at reception has a great customer mindset and was fantastic when we asked to extend our stay, and quickly arranged for a chair to be replaced. We also received text s to confirm everything was ok.
The hotel does not have breakfast, though there are complimentary coffee/tea, water bottles and apples & bananas in lobby. Guests have reciprocal rights to use the indoor pool and gym at the Hampton Inn next door. Free parking is one short block away, amusement park just a few blocks further, the outdoor pool was clean and and I saw it has a pool hoist.
This hotel is a great value if you want to be on the beach and are not seeking luxury! "
"Our stay at VB Paradise was great. It was perfect for our family which had people from 75 to 7 years old. heck in was easy, the kitchen was well equipped and allowed numerous cooks to be working together, lots of areas to relax and the pool water was warm and we all had a great time playing in it. the little guys loved both game rooms and the adults had some competitive ping pong games. The beach was a short walk. We all went into Virginia Beach one evening for dinner at Mahi's. Great cocktails and crab legs. Took the little guys to ride the Ferris wheel across from the pier. Week went by too quickly "
"The house was cute, several things could be updated. Back pool door would not lock with the dead bolt. Made me nervous as i have young children. Upstairs bedroom door knob was on backwards making it impossible to lock and keep the kids in. Even brought child knobs but they could pull the door open. There is also a wasp nest somewhere in the house. We could not find the nest. Luckily the two people in our group that are very allergic did not get stung. We killed 8 wasps during our stay. The house is large and fit our needs as a group. If planning to cook a lot of meals bring extra big pots and pans. During the heavy rain the ceiling in the downstairs bedroom leaks. Pool was nice. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. "
