Overall Good Experience
Overall, it was a most enjoyable experience in a house that met our expectations. The description and pictures accurately describe the lovely, well maintained property and its many amenities. The beach is family friendly and excellent for shell hunting. Following are some issues we experienced during our stay.
Upon arrival one of the downstairs bedrooms was not cleaned properly.
There is a problem keeping a comfortable temperature in both downstairs bedrooms. They were too warm, so the thermostat for this level of the house had to be set so low the rest of the downstairs living space (kitchen, dining, and living room) was uncomfortably cold.
This house is adjacent to a private beach access boardwalk for houses on streets that are not ocean-front. There was a steady flow of people with fully loaded beach wagons who set up close by on the beach. We had to put out our beach gear by 7 AM to ensure we had it in front of our beach boardwalk.
There is only one medium sized refrigerator for a house with 5 bedrooms and a capacity for 16 people. We had to use 3 large coolers and keep refilling them with ice for the duration of the stay to keep drinks and other perishable foods cold.
The ice maker in the refrigerator sometimes stopped working and required attention to get it going again.
One upstairs bedroom has no closet.
We were unable to watch programming on some of the televisions.
