The hotel itself was fine- clean, comfortable. Check in staff made me feel like second rate citizen because we were booked through Expedia. No you can’t be on first floor not in your room plan; our room was adjacent to the elevator hub so we could hear it whenever it was used. No glassware except coffee cups - not good for a glass of wine. Basic towels two each

The breakfast was wonderful! The breakfast area was very nice with plenty of seating. The 65 degree temperature was chilly though. The location was great! Nearby walking trail along Lake Superior and many restaurants nearby. The tour of the Whaleback ship was interesting!!

Over the many years of visiting this property it has not disappointed in any way. Even during the brief Covid pandemic this facility stayed true to its core values and commitment of providing attentive staff and clean rooms. A traveler couldn’t really ask for more.
