It is a short walking distance to the beach approximately 1100 ft. You will enjoy a screened in porch with ceiling fans, and a fully equipped kitchen with all amenities. Home away from home
This was my second time renting The Hideaway, a lovely home, on the quiet west end of Sunset Beach. The screened in front porch hosted many long conversations with my parents, with my dog happily watching the world outside. The fenced in backyard is just big enough for my girl to get her zoomies out, but small enough it's easy to clean up after her; the perfect size! Unless Publishers Clearing House comes through with a big check for me (at which point I'll be able to buy my own beach house), I look forward to more stays here in the future. It truly feels like a home away from home.

Sisters time together ❤️
It was perfect for the six of us. We were able to take lovely walks, sit on the porch and sing as the youngest played the guitar, share memories, cook or go out to dinner, play games, and pray together. Very relaxing!

Clean and comfortable.
This was our first VRBO vacation. But not the first time to the area. We picked it for location, and a fence in yard to bring dogs. Which we ended up leaving home anyway. Very well stocked kitchen. Looked and felt clean. We did have a minor issue or two that were easy to handle due to good communication. Some parts of the house were in need of repair or update. But otherwise in good shape.

Sunset Hideaway
We had an amazing stay at Sunset Beach. This house was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking. The screened front porch was amazing. This house was well equipped for our dog (fenced in back yard). My only concern was the distance to the beach but it was actually very close and the street is located directly across from the beach access. It was also very nice that we had access to additional beach toys and chairs if needed. Thank you for opening up your amazing home so that we could enjoy this beautiful island!!

Perfect Location
We fell in love with the location. Easy walk to the beach and the street was adorable. House was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. There were beach chairs and toys available for our use. Easy check-in and checkout. I would recommend bringing your own trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels~supplies were limited. We enjoyed our stay and will be back to Sunset Beach in the Fall🍁🍂!

Love this place!
This place was wonderful. It accommodated our dogs and family very well. The walk to the beach isn’t far at all. We stayed the first week of October and the island was very quiet except for the occasional dog barks - very few - but that didn’t bother us any. The screened in front porch was my favorite part of the home. We hope to stay again!!

The perfect beach week
We loved our stay and will certainly be back! The house was the perfect amount of space for four adults. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and sitting with us on the screened in porch. We had an amazing time at Sunset beach. The house is cozy and relaxing especially the screen in porch. Loved the fenced in the for our dogs. The owners were really nice and even check to see if we needed anything. I would rent from them again.

Amazing House
We truly enjoyed ourselves. The house is beautiful and was very clean. We brought a lot of supplies but discovered the house had a lot for use. The house is spacious and has plenty of sleeping for a large family. Also the area was nice and the walk to the beach was short. We will be renting again.

The Santry’s Stay
We had a great time at Sunset Beach! We usually stay on the mainland and travel over to 38th street beach. This time we had the luxury of staying right there. The kitchen was filled with what we needed to cook in and enjoy eating outside on the screened in porch for breakfast and dinner. I love the idea of a crock pot being provided to make meals easier in the future. We bought our golden who also loved the porch. And meeting so many furry friends. Very clean and quiet area. Lots of birds singing. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

Christmas at The Hideaway
We had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway cottage on Sunset Beach! The house was very cozy and comfortable and a short walk to the beach. The location was great and just a short drive to local restaurants and entertainment in the area. We explored and found the "Kindred Spirits" Mailbox located near the end of Bird Island. We left a letter in the mailbox as so many before us have done for years. It was a great adventure taking that long walk down the beach to find it! From our cottage, the walk was approx. 45 mins. We will definitely keep this beach cottage in mind for a return visit in the future!!!
