The room was clean and comfortable and our off-season rate was appreciated. The only real difficulty was that our room was only cleaned one out of the seven days we were there due to a confusion with some of the cleaning staff who didn’t speak English. It didn’t help that our room only had a “Do Not Disturb” sign (both sides) and no other sign to express our wish for service other than using the front desk, which we did use eventually and helped us with extra towels. We were able to dump our own trash easily.

The Melia needs a face lift! Everything is super outdated and looks old inside suites + room. This is my second stay at Melia. Previous stay was 10 years ago.
What makes it good pick is the location! I wouldn’t stay here again though.

Nobody knew what was going on in the hotel. One person said “the pool restaurants will open at 11:00” then another laid said “ I it’s’ noon” only to find out that the restaurant had been closed for 2-weeks and was not opening at all! Lots of people at the pool standing around waiting for it to open
The website said the bar inside the hotel did not open until 4:00 but they happened to be open all day. Very limited dining… we really only had one restaurant to choose from (the bar inside the hotel). They do have Benihana’s inside but it is dinner only

The staff was awesome! There was so much to do right there at the hotel! Bags, yard games, sand castles. And they play a movie poolside every night at 7pm. So fun. Beds were a little hard, but overall our stay was great! Would stay there again for sure.
