It was a wonderful stay. The owner and general manager helped her. All staff members were exceptionally good. Breakfast was also very good . Whenever we will come back to Halifax, we Will definitely stay here again for sure 10/10 from our side . I recommend this hotel .

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool was fun for the kids. Location was convenient.

Overall an ok stay. Super clean and charming, unbeatable location. Some details could make the experience 5 star. All doors are very squeaky, which was disruptive in the middle of the night. There is virtually no sound barrier between the room and hallway, so it feels like you can hear other people breathing through the walls. The bed was VERY low to the ground and mattress felt cheap and dated. A few improved details would really make this place a hidden gem.

Continues to be my chosen place to stay in Halifax. Grand old hotel with a lot of character. Great location for shops, restaurants and walking. I’ve stayed in both the smallest and largest of rooms in the hotel, and although there are parts of the hotel that could use some fresh paint and tlc, I appreciate that the little things are always high quality: big towels, great toiletries, Nespresso machines in all the rooms, and top notch staff. Only thing I didn’t appreciate this visit was that the housekeeping started knocking incessantly just after 8am. Saw them in the hall next door the second morning, just a bit later, but I’d avoided it by putting the Privacy sign on my door. Feels a little early to start visiting rooms, but I guess they need the time?
