"Had an excellent time opening day of fishing stayed for a few days Kay and John were fabulous. Easy to talk to.I already booked it for next year very comfortable very quiet."

"Overall, our stay was good. We stayed on a cold and damp Easter weekend (arrived April 3rd and left April 6th) so I wanted to start a fire in the fireplace, but notice the fireplace was filled with ashes and had to remove those ashes before starting our fire. The fireplace had a glass door on the front of it, but the glass was severely blacked from many uses and once the door was closed, you could not see the fire. I tried to clean the black soot of the glass, but it would not come off. The owner does provide firewood, but it is very old and rotten. The owner does have good firewood but that is locked up for emergency use, in case they have a power outage and the wood is needed for heat. Other than the fireplace, the rest of the home was clean when we arrived.I love to cook, so we ate in for most of our meals. I would suggest to the owners to update their cookware, the cooking pans are old and handles are cracked.The master bedroom is very comfortable with a large bed, TV and fireplace. This home is located in a beautiful area...peaceful and quiet. Was it worth the 900 we spent for 3 nights...maybe not."

"This place is PERFECT! Secluded, clean, quiet. Everything you could need is already there, even the stuff that’s easy to forget. All instructions were clear to follow (like how to access, directions, what to do when you’re leaving, etc.). Host communication was great! Truly a home away from home feel. Cozy. Plenty to do if needed. We didn’t get to use the fire pit or outdoor areas because it was too cold out, but the area were so inviting! I would totally stay here again! My dogs LOVED the area. Room to run & explore. Thank you for a wonderful stay! "

"The Big House was exactly what our group needed for the weekend. Everyone we met at Elk Creek was super friendly and welcoming. The area is beautiful and there are lots of great outdoor spots nearby. The site is truly pet friendly. Don’t hesitate to book your stay. "

So comfortable, the beds are amazingly comfy and lots of extra blankets if you need them. You feel like you are remote but the cute little town is only 2 minutes away with grocery store, shops and restaurants, even a nice coffee shop! Thank you Kathy for being the host with the most!!
