SEVEN PINES HOLIDAY HOUSE FOR HIDEAWAY

Our cottage lies in the heart of the little and charming Sukoró on the north side of lake Velence that is about a one hour trip by train or car from Budapest. The 130 years old farmhouse is a rare spectacle for those who love traditional folk architecture but still demand today’s comfort. In the house and the belonging spacious garden stillness is guaranteed: it’s not bordered by any streets, only the neighbouring gardens and a watercourse are around.

The one entering the house is immediately touched by It’s unique atmosphere. The stout walls are encapsulating more than a century old tradition and history. The house has been built in the late 1800s for the judge of the village. Entering the front-door we arrive to the anteroom. Moving further into the middle of the house we reach one of it’s specialties - the kitchen. The kitchen was originally working with a free chimney – meaning the smoke leaving to the air directly through a tunnel starting from the ceiling.

We have renovated the house partly with our own hands with great care to preserve it’s original character yet bringing the 21st century to the house in terms of comfort and technology.

The meter thick walls are keeping the temperature well, air cooling is not needed even on the hottest summer. When it gets chilly on the outside the electric heating is taking care of warming up the house quickly. There are two parking slots in the yard. We welcome pets as well with the hygiene well kept.

There is a horse ranch in 300 meters from the house that offers several trail rides to the surrounding countryside and you can also go for an easy ride at the ranch. Moving out of the stillness of the house and the village Lake Velence and the surroundings offer a wide variety of programs.
