Bandita Mountain Hut

The Rifugio della Bandita is a cosy and functional 45-square-meter apartment located on the ground floor in Monte Livata (Subiaco), the beautiful “mountain of Rome.” Designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests, this apartment is the perfect choice for families, groups of friends, and nature and mountain sports enthusiasts seeking convenience and independence.

One of the great advantages of the apartment is its private entrance directly from outside the building, allowing you to access your home with complete independence and convenience, without having to pass through common areas. Inside, you’ll be greeted by a very bright living room with an open kitchen, fully equipped with a modern induction cooktop, refrigerator, mini-oven, and microwave so you can prepare every meal with complete freedom.

The layout consists of a cosy living area featuring a double bed, a sleeper sofa, a TV, and air conditioning to ensure the perfect climate year-round; a small bedroom with a bunk bed and a second TV; and a functional bathroom complete with a shower stall and a handy portable bidet.

Monte Livata, located in the heart of the Monti Simbruini Regional Nature Park, is a magical destination any time of year. Surrounded by some of Europe’s largest beech forests, it offers spectacular scenery for both those seeking relaxation and those who love active adventure.

In winter, the area becomes a hub for snow sports, thanks to the cross-country and downhill ski trails at Monna dell’Orso and Campo dell’Osso, as well as beautiful snowshoe trails. In summer and fall, the area transforms into a paradise for hiking, mountain biking, and orienteering, with well-marked trails leading to breathtaking viewpoints.

Just a few kilometres away, you can explore the historic town of Subiaco, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, famous for its spectacular Benedictine monasteries (the Monastery of San Benedetto, nestled in the rock, and the Monastery of Santa Scolastica) and for water activities along the Aniene River, such as rafting and kayaking.
