Romantic Cabin: Pets OK, Close to Town, Wood stove, 1 Bdrm + Loft, 8 mi. to ski

Goldilocks cabin is a cozy retreat for a romantic getaway, and perfect for small families as well. The cabin is located on Stowe Hollow Road, a residential area of widely spaced lots, just 1 mile from Stowe village, eight miles to Mt. Mansfield and skiing, and just a few miles to the Pinnacle, one of the most spectacular hikes in Vermont. So, if you are looking for a secluded cabin in the woods, Goldilocks may not be your best choice, but if you want a charming and unique, conveniently located cabin, which is easily accessible in all weather conditions, Goldilocks is just right.

Goldilocks is well appointed with Black Forest and French antiques, and antler chandeliers--the perfect combination of rustic and luxury. The piping hot wood stove and the chiming cuckoo clock make this cabin a cozy retreat after a day of hiking or skiing. The large master bedroom has an antique four poster bed, complete with a sumptuous mattress, and a alcove with a desk. The sleeping loft (a favorite of older children) is accessed by a ladder and has a full size bed. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room, as well. The cabin has two decks a gas barbecue, and a fire pit. Goldilocks is pet-friendly. Well behaved, approved pets are always welcome.

Guests often mention our attention to detail as one of the many reasons this cabin exceeded their expectations. Goldilocks cabin is just right.

Amenities: Wifi, well appointed kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker and a gas stove. Dining area seats 6. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Wood stove. Television. CD player, VCR. Two decks, barbecue,and mud room for ski storage. Approved pets OK.

For Skiers: Their are quite a few options for park and ride to the Mountain. The shuttle starts at the Town Building on Main Street, and you can park behind the white church, and there are others stops along the road as well to park, the Rusty Nail for example. More information at gostowe.com.

Activities: Minutes from skiing, miles of snow-shoeing, and cross country skiing, biking, hiking, fishing. Close to town and shopping. Six restaurants within a two mile drive. Great antiquing around Stowe, Farmer's market. Burlington is a 35 mile drive.

Area: One mile from Stowe village. On 4 acres. Close to shopping, restaurants, hiking, skiing. In Stowe Hollow. A residential neighborhood of widely spaced lots.

Stowe ski vacation

Goldilocks

This cozy cabin was exactly what we needed. It was decorated with gorgeous colonial fabrics and the worn wood floors were buttery smooth. The kitchen was well equipped with excellent cookware that made meal making fun. We found good game choices, enjoyed sitting on the deck to soak up some sun and had fun sitting around the campire in the evening! Great location being close to town but far enough to feel country. Goldilocks made a very nice memory.

Clean, cozy, and great location

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with friends. The cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated with whimsical touches that really added to the charm. The beds were super comfy. Highly recommend this cabin, we will be back! charming, retreat!

Great Stowe Cabin

Cozy Cabin

Jill's Goldilocks Cabin is very well situated, a short drive to many awesome hikes, including Mt Mansfield as well as Burlington. The cabin itself was nice and cozy, with plenty of space to relax and unwind.

Very charming cabin with a great location!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Goldilocks cabin. The location was great, and it felt private and is only one mile outside of Stowe. Jill had excellent communication and ensured that we were happy. We can't wait to come back!

Charming Warm Country Cabin

We found the perfect little home away from home location spot - charming cabin a short drive to town where our whole family (my husband, daughter, and our dog) could relax after a day of skiing and sight-seeing. Stowe is a picture postcard around every corner and that includes this sweet cabin. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove, it added such a nice touch to the cold winter evenings. Impressed with all the little touches - would indeed return!

Charming cabin, bedroom needs a little TLC

This rental was as described - a charming log cabin with scarred wood floors, a woodburning stove and interesting knick knacks. Kitchen was well stocked and there was a grill on the deck for outdoor cooking. Our only complaint was the master bedroom, which smelled musty and needs a deep clean. Stained pillows need to be replaced and all bedding refreshed.

Great Stay in a Cozy Cabin

What a fantastic stay. The Cabin was so cute and cozy, and in such a convenient location. It was a mile from Main St. Stowe. Instead of Stowe Mt, we skied Bolton Valley, which was a 20 minute drive. The wood burning stove was just right on cold nights. Kitchen well appointed. Bed super comfy. Owner was very responsive. We will stay again!

Perfect Home

This was a perfect home for a quick weekend getaway for some skiing at Stowe and Jay Peak. Great location, you can walk into downtown Stowe if you want. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. About 20 minutes to Stowe, maybe less. The home had everything you need if you want to cook and stay in. We will certainly be coming back again. Thank you very much!

Everything we needed & more.

Perfect for us & Sheba (our puppy). The cabin had everything we needed, coffee maker & grinder, stove, microwave, etc. The TV was great to get the local & national stations. Our host thought of everything from the utensils, pots & pans, dishware, spices, & other necessities to the towels, bathroom supplies, washer & dryer, storage space & outdoor amenities (grill, deck chairs, firepit...) The cabin was a perfect size for all of us, comfy chairs & sofa, A/C (we didn't need the heat) bed was OK. The road was a bit noisy but inside we couldn't hear anything. We come up almost every year & we will make this place our go-to rental. It was that good.

Lovely Thanksgiving Stay

We had a lovely stay at the goldilocks cabin. It was exactly as described and the pictures were accurate. The location is close to everything in Stowe and Waterbury. Since we love cooking, we were pleased to find the kitchen is well-provided with kitchen utensils and pots, exactly as seen in the pictures.The cabin is very cozy and the decoration is amazing, with many goldilocks theme details. The wood-fired stove had already been loaded with firewood, which was a pleasant surprise, and it was well-provided with extra kindling in a nearby basket. We loved how cozy it was to stay near it and even made some hot chocolate on it.If we had to note something it would be that both TVs (the one in the living room and the bedroom) are quite small, and that the living room TV is positioned in a way that makes it quite inconvenient to use. So if you plan on watching movies in the cabin, keep that in mind.That said we had a great stay and definitely recommend the cabin!

Goldilocks Cottage was a relaxing cabin for our week in Stowe. The cottage was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the grounds were well kept. The location was great for the activities we planned, and it was comfortable to cook and eat at home in the evening. There was a quiet 2mile loop to walk each morning.
