The property and home were beautiful! The large dining room table was perfect for family dinners. Our stay was too short! Hope to stay again in the future 😊
Three couples gathered for a little getaway. The house is small but very comfortable with a great patio for relaxing and another lovely fire pit area by the water. Beds were super comfy, and all the linens and towels (including beach towels) were of excellent quality. We enjoyed dropping in paddle boards and exploring the beauty right out the front door:)
Terrific place and great location! The host has thought of everything for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this rental. Just something to be aware of, while cottage has the capacity to sleep 10 at 10, it's a snug fit.
This property was absolutely lovely! We stayed off season and enjoyed the deck, fire pit, and dock. Beds are super comfortable, house was clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything we’d need for a seafood feast. Paul was responsive, friendly and helpful in every way.
The property was as described. The added game room was a pleasant surprise. Although the house is old it was very clean and well taken care of. I wish we had more time so we could have rented a boat to spend time on the water. I would definitely rent again.
Great house for a family gathering. Lots of different outdoorr spaces to hang out -- alone, in pairs, or all together. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook and prepare even the most elaborate meals. Games galore.
And a wonderfully helpful and communicative owner.
We stayed in this area a few years ago on a property also available by Paul. We love the huge if the area and being on the water. We didn’t do too much but that was the whole intent of our getaway. Our dogs loved the property and trying to catch the bunny resident. They also loved the dock to check out the water activities. The house was comfortable and we didn’t want for anything.
Thank You for Such a Heartfelt Family Time Together!
This was our first Vrbo experience and it was even better than we had anticipated. It was in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with quick access to so many sites in the area, including Mystic Seaport. The house was well appointed with excellent cookware and endless hot water. We enjoyed our time around the dinner table and the picnic table on the back porch. The host was always attentive to our questions. To quote my 90-year-old father-in-law, "I've had many great experiences in my life, but this was the best." Many thanks to everyone involved.
We enjoyed our stay at the house but we thought the house was overpriced, but perhaps, due to the location on the water, the rental price was competitive for the area. The yard and waterfront is lovely, particularly the seating area and chiminea by the water. The decks are nice too, as is the annex with the ping pong and football. For the price, the bathrooms, particularly the downstairs one, need improvement in terms of how they look and cleanliness of the shower, particularly the tile grout. Good location but there is road noise as it is right on a highway.
It was a great place for family to come together from CT, MO, NY and Canada. It was a little more rustic than anticipated. But clean, organized and well stocked with basics. A very friendly host. A valuable item was left behind and Paul drove all the way back from a family event so it could be retrieved before flying out the next day. Above and beyond. Thank you.
Planned 5-6 things a day in loops location, & added & subtracted as we saw fit. Getting a taste of Seafood a must FORD'S Lobster Shack; the Lobster Bomb a must try, but pricy. We could not fit everything in, in one week. Blue Crab fishing off dock was a blast, all enjoyed. Just catch & release for us. Couple things we hit were: Tapped Apple Cidery; Gellotto next to Apple;Gillette Castle State Park; Yankee Cider; Fox Farm Brewery; The Dinosaur Place; Walk through Mystic Town, Took Picture at Mystic Pizza; Julia Roberts first movie was; Also check out Sift Bakery; Went to Mass. to see Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock; & Historical places, then Rhode Island Clif Walk, needed a Brewery on way back; Force Library Submarine Base; Old Mystic Village, shopping; Restauraunts some we stopped at; Ford's; Breakwater; Sea Swirl - pickup; The Mariner; Plus you have to see the Bascule Bridge in action. Also, lots of Ice Cream Shops around. Some things were closed we were looking to see. Hartford, Soldier & Sailors Memorial was cool with other stops added. All this & more, did NOT seem, we were pushed to get all of this in. Owners Property tied to Marina, up the street for free rentals & 50% off Power boats. Property, if you have infants maybe bring a gate or two; Clean; Pergola; Game room; Dockside Firepit; Grill, Crab Traps, we did NOT need,& caught 20 min. Couple window AC units, & vent rest with fans. Full Kitchen; Washer & Dryer, GREAT TIME was had.
The host was very helpful and communicative. The location and setting was perfect- a few minutes to Westerly, Stonington and Mystic. The house was cozy and well maintained and equipped. Great beds and linens!
We had a lovely stay in Stonington and wished we had booked another week! Our host was gracious, helpful and attentive. He is a native of the area and willing to answer any questions that you have. The house was very clean and the yard and dock are gorgeous!
Family trip with our daughter and son-in-law and his parents. We loved the house, outbuilding, decks, outside shaded dining area and waterfront. Better than expected! Paul was so responsive and welcoming! Excellent kayaking in the quiet cove and out to Sandy Point.
Great place and great host. We came for a family wedding and this was the best. Close to vineyards, Mystic, Stonington. We all enjoyed it and would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
We had a great few days enjoying this magical waterfront home. Charming vintage craftsman style home. Paul and his team were most responsive to our every question and concern. Would love to return.
Lovely summer cottage on a quiet cove, the perfect spot for fishing, kayaking, or watching others do so with a drink in your hand. Great yard for kids to play, special game room in its own outbuilding, Adirondack chairs and a fire pit at the water. The beds were comfy, and the house was cozy. Loved it.
My family had a wonderful time staying in this charming house over the winter holiday break. Small in square footage but felt very spacious for our group of 4. Paul was very welcoming and quick to resolve an unexpected issue with internet access. Convenient to Stonington Boro, Mystic, and Westerly. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time while visiting the area. The location was great with a great view on the water. Paul was easy to work with (very responsive) and provided outstanding customer service.
such a great location. loved the house yard and private dock. we rushed out to enjoy coffee on the dock and watch boats go by. very relaxing and convenient to stonington borough and mystic! excellent communication and accomondating hosts!
This was our second stay and as always a great time. The location is close to downtown, restaurants, wineries, and of course the water. We fish every day via kayaks. The house has great character and high quality linens. The fireplace is wonderful! The kitchen has everything you need. Mattresses are very comfortable. We will be staying again next year.
