"Initial issue with Evergreen getting reservation from Expedia - we were not showing in the Evergreen system: staff worked to get us the room we had set up with Expedia. Requested room cleaning half way through our 8 day stay but didn’t happen. May have been a staffing issue? Were able to get clean towels and other supplies via front desk staff. Breakfast included in room cost was decent with both hot and cold breakfast options. Curley’s, the in hotel bar, was a great place for an evening nightcap or late dinner/snack. "

"Staying in the city of Lake City, with a view of the lake, and walking distance around the lake and city from the motel, gives a feeling of upnorth Michigan costal, convenience, clean, and quaint."

"We booked this property for our high school robotics team (11 students and 8 adults) while we competed at a nearby competition. It has everything we needed and more! The kitchen was nicely equipped and included spices, plates, silverware, coffee maker, crock pots, pots and pans, serving utensils, etc. There is a ton of space, and the teens really enjoyed the hot tub and game room. We didn't get the full experience of the lake (we stayed in March during an ice storm), but the views were beautiful. We definitely would stay again. "

"This was my second stay in a week - I was traveling to Ontonagon and used the hotel as a stopover on both ends of my trip. This stay was marginally better than the first stay because the criminal element that had been present on the first evening were no longer around. As previously stated in my initial review, the staff were as accommodating as they could be. They were friendly and professional. As with my previous review for the earlier stay, the same goes for the amenities concerning breakfast, beds being uncomfortable, etc. The place was clean, so that's a plus. I stayed this time around only because I had already previously booked before staying the first night. As previously stated, while the staff were nice, I will not likely stay here again."
