Cabin was better than we could have ever imagined! Restoration was amazing and the quiet simple atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back!
So peaceful & quiet. Just what we were looking for. The historic cabin was amazing & beautifully restored. Host were very generous & friendly. We'll definitely be staying again.
We had a nice weekend getaway here. The property is beautiful & peaceful. Sitting by the pond was great. The place was very clean & the owners are great! Loved the fresh eggs, muffins & snacks! We would love to come back again! Highly recommend!
I absolutely love this property. The cabin is unbelievable! So neat to stay in such a historic little nook. I loved the simple and accurate decor. The fresh eggs, muffins, fruit and snacks were such a nice little bonus. Highly recommend staying here and hope to be back myself!
This property is incredibly special. You get a chance to stay in a cabin from the 1800's that has all the rustic charm but includes running water and a kitchen. It is the most peaceful place and my kids (5 and 7) never asked for a phone or to watch tv!!!
Enjoyed the peaceful environment, flowers and wildlife. Hosts were extra hospitable. They provided fresh fruit, eggs, milk, orange juice, chips and muffins. Fun to stay in such a historic place.
We loved this old beautiful house. It was like walking back in time. We enjoyed watching the deer around the area and fishing in the ponds. I was wonderful getting a complimentary breakfast and snacks. We would highly recommend this beautiful place to everyone.
Thank you for our relaxing much needed stay.
The cabin was beautifully restored. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning and evening enjoying the peaceful quiet. Doug and Jennifer are very gracious hosts. They even left us some delicious muffins, fruit and eggs.
The setting was amazingly quiet and peaceful. Definitely away from the hustle of modern day life. We loved the absolute quiet and natural setting. The walking trails were lovely. And the lake was really nice and much bigger than we thought. This is a perfect place for getting away from it all and connecting with God, yourself, and your spouse.
My cousin and I completely enjoyed staying in this beautiful log home. It sits in such a quiet, peaceful place. Something we both needed. I've never stayed in a log house before. I did not want to leave.
We enjoyed a rustic, frontier ambience enriched by modern comforts. The friendly hosts check in upon arrival and departure and offer generous snack and breakfast items. We brought meals to prepare and also ventured out to the nearby Amish towns. We saw lots of wildlife outside our window as well as on our walks! Love that it can be such an all- inclusive location- lake, playground, baseball field - in summer! We so appreciated what a great memory we made.
The cabin was great and very beautiful to see definitely a piece of history preserved very very well. The owners Doug & Jenn are very nice and easy to get ahold of if there are any questions the property is very enjoyable to walk the trails and look at the art set up threw out the area. The small baseball field is a very nice little place to play some kick ball or whiffle ball. There is definitely alot to do in the area and alot of cool shopping areas to go too.
The hosts were wonderful, so considerate. Fresh eggs, butter, milk, cereal, muffins & fresh fruit were awaiting us. Being able to wander this property was a dream! The hiking trails are challenging but so worth the gorgeous autumn views. Paddle boarding on the lake was fun. They left enough firewood for us to have the fire in the log cabin going for both our nights. This place gives private camp vibes with the three spread out properties. AMAZING!! Can’t wait to go back.
What a great place. Fell in love with the cabin the moment we pulled up. When we opened the door, it felt like we were walking into Charles & Caroline Ingall's home on "Little House on the Prairie". Hosts were so gracious. They provided eggs, milk, juice, fresh fruit, cereal, and assorted chips. Would love to come back again and explore the property. We were with friends and had plans to spend the day in the Amish Country. Highly recommend this property! If you love rustic, but with modern conveniences, this is the place for you!
What a wonderful place! It was just as it was described. The owners could not have been more gracious, even leaving eggs, muffins, milk and fruit for breakfast. Everything was so clean. There is a small lake on the property with paddleboats, canoes and rowboats and hiking trails. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed hiking and just sitting on the porch reading. Berlin is about 30 minutes away. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to our family and friends.
Maybe I haven’t looked enough but where else can you find a place this unique? A log cabin to stay in, lake to fish, boat or swim, recreation area, woods to explore, quiet to relax…all on private property. I know state parks and public areas hold these same amenities but so do hundreds of other people, and they are there with you. So if you want a place like this, look no further.
From my wife’s perspective…The cabin was beautifully decorated, gorgeous and serene with attention to details.
