"Loved staying here, it felt like a posh youth hostel, we never had to wait to use the bathroom and while it was basic, everything was clean and comfortable. Lovely location, breakfast was in a hotel run by the same people in the town which was a 5 min walk away but not a problem at all, the breakfast itself was great (lots of vegan options) and the staff were so friendly. "

"The surroundings of the hotel were truly lovely, and it was great to walk in the nearby forest with the dogs – the location was definitely the highlight of our stay. However, the hotel itself felt quite worn, and the room was dated. The bed was uncomfortable and sagged in the middle, which made it difficult to sleep well. The air in the room was stuffy and damp, which affected the overall comfort. Breakfast was average – not particularly good, but sufficient."

"This particular Bishops Arms feels as though it isn't quite convinced that it's a hotel. There is no reception - one engages the attention of one of the staff in the bar. Once checked in however, the room is perfectly adequate, and, as it turned out, acceptably quiet, given that there is a pub downstairs and it was a weekend. Breakfast is fine (can't speak for the cooked food as we didn't sample it). There is carparking, but it isn't free. "
