"A perfect stay and will definitely be back. Easy check in, the rooms, 1 and 2, were fantastic and great for the dogs. The facilities in the room were everything we needed. The bar and restaurant were really well set out and the decor created a nice homely feel, very relaxing. The food was perfect, good portion sized, nicely presented and really good quality. The cheese pie was fantastic. Really good selection of drinks at the bar and a good choice on the wine list. There was a bit of a wait in food, it was busy and they had parties on. That made it better for us, far too many places throw courses at you one after the other and it feels rushed. It was nice to just relax and take our time. After a great night’s sleep, a fantastic breakfast. Again, good quality food, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. Everyone on the team here was so welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The waitress serving dinner and the two ladies at breakfast deserve a special mention, they are everything hospitality should be, they’re a great asset to the business. We’re already planning our next get together and can’t wait to return. Thank you everyone for a fantastic stay and for making our Christmas get together perfect. "

"What a wonderful place to stay. Glorious views and exceptional hosts. You can beat being welcomed by the hosts as it makes it very personal and shows they care. Everything was as it should be and this really made our break here at the Hayloft very special. Would thoroughly recommend this property, location and hosts to anyone!"

"I did not go and stay at the property because I was ill and couldn't go. The owner wouldn't refund - fair enough but I asked him if I could reserve the night for another time - so he still gets the money but I don't lose anything and that I'd be a regular long-term booking. He refused, blaming Expedia. I know this isn't the case as other locations have been more co-operative when I've had an emergency situation. He also was also keen to bypass Expedia and other agents on future occasions, telling me to contact him direct for a deal. Anyway, by not being flexible, on this occasion he has lost a series of bookings going forward as I'd rather stay elsewhere. "
