"Front desk lady: very nice and made check-in easy. I had to ask her for cleaning spray to scrub down the dirty shower in my room and I offered to do myself since she was only staff. She gave me spray and towels. The room: Dirty, very dirty. Floors appeared not swept, bathroom smelt of urine, shower had mildew build up on floor which came off with cleaner, sink was dirty, there was a white dried up substance on desk, desk chair, curtain. Bedding seemed clean, towels seemed clean. But room I was not impressed at all. "

"Older hotel but all class. It feels like stepping back in time. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful like a park. Well maintained. And for the price seems like you are being treated to a special experience for not very much money."

"The views are fantastic. However, the staff left something to be desired. It took an hour and 20 minutes to check in, I got sent to multiple rooms and none of the keys worked and finally had to wait for a maintenance guy with a master key to let me in and then wait in my room for another hour for a maintenance guy to come and finally get me a working key and my fireplace wasn’t working having paid extra for a room with a fireplace. So that required a different maintenance engineer visit to get that going. You’ve gotta walk a long way with your luggage from the parking area up and down a hill with minimal lighting in the middle of the night to get to the lodge with no signs. Even during the daytime, nobody offers to help help you with your bags or provide any help or service without you seeking it out. The spa was great though, clean, good massage, great hot tub and sauna. "

"The heater in our room wouldn't turn off. When we told the front desk about it, we were told that it takes awhile to cool down. Throughout the night it never did cool down. In fact we had to prop open the window to get the place cooled down. Was not aware that our room wouldn't have a fridge or micro. Was told online that our parking token would be available at the front desk for $3.00. The guy at the desk said they didn't have that amenity! I liked the place, but there were a few things that didn't match up with our online reservation promises. I suggested to the front desk that management should be told of the inaccuracies that are displayed/promised, while looking into their amenities, and room description, when going online to make a reservations."

"Everything was great the only thing that I found that could be considered a complaint is that part of the amenities advertised was breakfast but they didn't have it available for some reason. "

"The room was cute. I had good meals and libations at the tavern. I had a facial at the spa which I didn't enjoy."
