Private River Frontage!!! Beautiful Cabin with Amazing views! Available now!!

The Walker Ford Cabin sits on two acres right on the banks of the upper Meramec River. Enjoy panoramic views of the river and the bottom hay fields. Bring chairs and sit next to the river, take a swim, dip a worm or just watch the turtles sun on the logs. Relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine watching for the occasional bald Eagle to soar up the river. The cabin has been newly renovated and is ready for guests. There is a beautiful rock fireplace, kitchenette, a queen size bed, queen pull out sofa and a dining table in the main cabin. The back sitting area has beautiful river views along with a twin sleeper sofa. The only thing you need when you come to our cabin is food, charcoal (if needed) and toiletries. The kitchen is fully stocked with what you may need to cook a meal and the linens and towels are also provided. There are several wineries and a canoe/raft outfitter within a mile away or bring your own canoe or kayak and float from our local access Birds Nest right down to your cabin. Shuttle service available...$35 local access. Inquire for more details. There is a BBQ grill and washers game for your use.
If you are wanting to add more guests to your party we have options. There is tent camping available and a full electric rv hookup with water for any family member or friends wanting to stay....message for details.

This is a lovely cabin. We chose it because it was so close to the river. It has a beautiful view and had a gentle slope to walk down for river access. We enjoyed a fire in the firepit on our last evening. This was a really relaxed trip.

Very relaxing getaway

This property is perfect for a quiet , peaceful, stress free getaway. The location on the river bank is fantastic, the cabin itself was super clean and the overall design and decor were wonderful.

We came to the cabin hoping for a peaceful escape on the river. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed sitting in the sunroom watching the river and taking the short walk to the water. The little stone cabin was small and reflected some history. Although some history was left to admire in the other rooms, it was evident that the bathroom was nicely updated. Our host, Susan, was very helpful and pleasant to talk with.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Walker Ford cabin. It was very clean and modern looking. It had all the necessary kitchen items we needed, other than salt, but not a big deal. The bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated the nice hand soap that was provided in the kitchen area and bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The location is closely located to river resorts if visitors want to float, kayak, canoe, etc. There’s a Country Mart about 10 minutes down the road where we bought some groceries. Firewood is not included, so you’ll have to buy some. We visited the Onondaga State Park and visited the cave, which was super cool. It was about a 25 minute drive to the park, so not a bad drive. We were just wanting a quick getaway that wasn’t too far from home and had a nice river view. It was definitely worth it!

Wonderful Well Appointed Weekend Getaway!

The cabin was wonderful. It had everything we needed for our weekend. The location is the perfect amount of secluded, but still near enough the town to make it a quick drive to get food or supplies. Being right on the river is great and the view is perfect!

Perfect River Getaway

We have a lovely time at this cabin. It was well equipped with everything we need for the weekend, and access to the river could not be beat! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful water-front location.

Cabin on the river

Enjoyed the beautiful fireplace & stone work of the cabin! Very quiet & private at the end of the road. We loved going to Elephant Rock State Park & Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park & Onondaga Cave! Would’ve loved the kayak run but weather did not cooperate. Beautiful treed area!! Susan was prompt in responding!

Quiet, Calming Getaway!

The cabin is tucked away on a private drive with a lot of open space fronting the river. It's incredibly peaceful and the front room is perfect to sit and sip coffee while watching the river. We will be back!

Perfect River Cabin

We’ve enjoyed each time we’ve stayed here. Perfect for us and close to the river. It has all you need for time away. There is good fishing right outside the door. Love it.

Beautiful Property

Susan was great to work with and overall very kind. The cabin is close enough to town to access restaurants if you dont feel like cooking but if you do the cabin has everything you might need. The view of the river was stunning and the cabin was very comfy and cozey. I hope we get the chance to stay again!

Relaxing weekend

Very cozy little cabin right by the meramec river. We loved the sunset and the fact we still had cellular and internet service in such a remote area. The cabin was small but still had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay again.
