Amazing!
This property was exactly what we were looking for. It is peaceful, serene, beautiful. Loved taking the walk daily down the mowed road through the field down to the river with our pups! We also drove down to the river too.The cabin has an old world charm and the essentials you need like pots and pans for cooking as well as some small appliances, fridge and oven. Plates, glasses and silverware too. The cabin also had air conditioning and heat. They had a TV and wifi which we hardly used. There was a great sitting area outside the cabin which they provided the wood and brought more when we needed it. We had a campfire every night we were there. We had a pretty low profile car with all wheel drive and were able to navigate the rock road to get to the cabin with no issue. This was one of our best vacations ever! Thank you Elaine and Mike for sharing your place and for your wonderful hospitality!

Charming cabin, gorgeous backdrop, kind people
My husband, our two adult children, and our chocolate lab stayed for four nights. The minute we walked in, we knew it’d be the perfect retreat. It’s very cozy and you can tell how much effort the owners have put into preserving this piece of their family’s heritage. The cabin is clean and the bedding is comfortable. We loved walking to the river every day, birdwatching (owls, pileated woodpeckers, American bluebirds, northern flickers), playing giant jenga on the porch, roasting marshmallows, and playing horseshoes. The owners are so kind and genuine, and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for our family. There’s plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed Peaceful Bend Winery (also such nice people), Meramac Caverns, Lange General Store, and Meramac Springs Park. We will be back!

Couples Getaway!
Such a relaxing weekend! Four of us (2 couples) stayed the weekend and just relaxed and had a wonderful time. We spent a day down at the river, and the rest of the time we hung out in the cabin or around the fire. What a great way to unplug! Kitchen was well equipped. Owners very responsive! Highly recommend!!

Adorable and rustic
It was a cute little cabin. We enjoyed playing games and skipping rocks. It was so cute! The only downfall was the driveway. We would stay again if we visit our son at college.

Relaxing weekend
We had an amazing weekend despite the rain. The cabin was perfect to just sit and relax. The property afforded us total privacy with only the pleasing sounds of nature. We were visited by a buck on the first morning and watched a couple of fawn prancing near the banks of the Meramac. We even caught a couple different varieties of fish that we released since they were too small. We can’t wait to book this cabin again! Thank you Elaine fir being an awesome host.

Treasure on the farm
A quick trip from the city. We had a memorable time at this quaint cabin. The river was a refreshing treat, just a short walk down the farm's road. So you can bring you kayak and float the Meramac or rent a boat near by. My dogs ran and played until they dropped. Games are provided in a wonderful sunroom. A complimentary bag of ingredients for Smores was a treat. We definitely will be back and suggest friends to book also.

For old times sake
We fell in love with the cabin. It was charming and felt like home right away. My boyfriend and i went fishing at the nearby trout park in the a.m. started raining so we went back to the cabin. Watched netflix til the sun came out. Then enjoyed the secluded gravel bar. Put out chairs in the water, soaking up the sun and watched a pair of eagles and a wood duck. I am thankful to be able to bring my border collie. She did not want to leave when the time came. I planned the 2 night stay for my boyfriends birthday. Its about an hour and half from his farm. A nice, close getaway for a few days. And felt like a step back to simpler times. We just got home and discussed when we may try to book a stay in the cabin for old times sake again.
