Food was not the best both breakfast and evening. Breakfast hot food was barely warm and evening was the same after waiting 30mins after ordering and only being us and another couple dining. "The room was very nice, there was adequate parking. The breakfast was very good. The staff on reception were very polite and helpful. The room was cleaned every day. The restaurant manager was very unhelpful and rude when we had an issue with our bill, she wouldn't acknowledge us and kept sending us back and forth via waitresses to try and resolve this. The next morning the manager on reception sorted it no problem and was very helpful. One of the waitresses took our drinks order and came back...
"The Belfry is a unique old building with a first class modern interior. The room were very well appointed with alll the usual facilities one would expect from a high class hotel. The breakfasts were individually cooked and presented in a timely manner, with a wide and excellent selection to choose from. "Lovely staff and a comfy bed saved this property from a less favorable review. It feels like a converted hospital where the interior designer ran out of money. But, it is LITERALLY opposite the station if you need to catch a train. And they have gorgeous looking cannoli. Good in a pinch."
