Not as advertised with issues to boot
We would not stay here again. Our daughter’s room had a broken AC so she and her friend had to stay in our room on the floor and cot until fixed. The owner said he would comp us two nights but we’ve yet to see the full amount. They list kitchen and living room but there was neither so we needed to eat out at all times to an additional cost of +/-$1000 a day. We’d no privacy since the master bdrm kitchenette was everyone’s source of snacks/drinks. The step lights to the pool were out so bringing food in the dark was treacherous. The pool view is definitely the high point but there are other similar listings. The washing machine was broken and while the owner graciously did our laundry, it was awkward and inconvenient. Because of communication breaks down it was only fixed right before we left. I’d been texting using the number they’d originally texted us on arrival but was finally told that was the wrong number to use. Why then text me with it?! We’ve often found with VRBOs that the owners contact us with a preferred private number not listed on the site. The only eating space was poolside so with heat, sun and hungry mosquitoes, it wasn’t ideal. Rooms were clean and standard compared to other past VRBO’s. The owners were initially friendly but tension increased as problems arose. The path to the water is very steep and dangerous.That was the selling point but was not actually doable. We were willing to spend 13k if we got what we paid for. We felt it was a bait and switch.
