It’s a property that has charm and character. It’s a beautiful place. The hotel 1829 is a few min walk down some steps nearby and dinner there was amazing. We went back twice just for the cocktails. It was quiet for the most part. We had the pool to ourselves 90% of the time. A 15 min walk got us to shops, a market, bars, etc. If you are blessed, you will have the chance to pet ocho, the sweetest good boy you’ve ever met. I really appreciated the tips and lists they had for us to help us decided the best places to go. If I ever hat the chance to visit again, I would stay here. The owners are kind and helpful. The only thing I would change is the mattress on our bed, it was a bit hard. They have everything you need here to have a good trip.

The owner was nice and wanted to help make our stay nice, but he couldn't hide the fact that the pictures he took to 'sell' the place were very generous. Literally the best example of good lighting and strategic camera work to make a run down place seem nice online. Dirty kitchen. Run down front desk. Literally have to walk up and down 101 steps to get anywhere. Our taxi driver had to drop us off 1,000 yards from the place.

Property was quaint with an incredible view of the harbor. The room was very clean and was freshened up daily. Owners were very friendly and so accommodating. It was wonderful to have beach chairs, towels, beach blanket, cooler etc provided. The area was very quiet but close to shops and local vendors. Would absolutely stay here again.

The place it’s beautiful. Close to everything and you can walk everywhere. The stairs are a workout, but necessary to stay in shape😂. Mark was superb, courteous and helpful. I recommend “At Home In the Tropics” for a quite, walkable, clean and friendly place to stay in St. Thomas!

Wonderful hosts with many amenities offered especially for beachgoers. Jessica's breakfasts were amazing! Having breakfasts with spectacular views of the harbor was a great way to start each day! The B&B is nestled in the hill overlooking the harbor and you can easily get to the town by stairs. The B&B is also within driving distance to two beautiful beaches, one of which we were able to snorkel with turtles! Highly recommend this B&B.

Nice and cozy bed and breakfast. Magnificent view over the town and harbour. Breakfast was served every morning, but there was only one choice which might not suit everybody, would have been nice with a more healthy choice as second option.

My wife and I just spent 3 nights at At Home In The Tropics. I cant say enough about how nice our stay was. Jess, Mark and Lauren were all fantastic hosts. The breakfast in the mornings were unique and delicious. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the property is located just a short ride from everything in St Thomas. We will definitely be returning and staying here!

We got very lucky with this B&B. Marc and Jess were very welcoming. Their property has a lot of history dating back to 1804. It still has that charm and character, but at the same time it is fully renovated and provides all modern amenities. In addition, it has an amazing view of the bay and excellent service to top it all of: lovely breakfast, pool, use of beach chairs, beach towels and snorkeling gear. We would be very happy to stay here again if we return to St Thomas.
