Amazing Views Bright Airy Studio AC WIFI Generator

It is very easy to get to Water Island. After landing at Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas, take a quick taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina and then a 7 minute ferry ride to beautiful Water Island. The cozy studio at Bella Vita is ideal for up to 2 guests that are looking to experience the beauty of Water Island on a budget. Recently renovated, the studio is small, comprises approximately 250 sq ft with amazing water views of St. Thomas. There is an entrance to the unit from the lower driveway of the property, so there is privacy for all units. The studio has an open floor plan with efficient kitchen, queen bed, folding dining table & chairs, bathroom and shower. The bathroom is off of the kitchen and it open. The strong breeze keeps the studio cool, so A/C is not a necessity. It does have a A/C unit. We just ask that you turn it You have an option to rent a golf cart on Water Island. Just let me know you have an interest.

Water Island is a treasure yet to be discovered, complete with a gorgeous half moon shaped beach and bay known as Honeymoon Beach. The property is a ten minute walk to Honeymoon beach or a few minute golf cart ride. Dinghy's Beach Bar & Grill is open daily serving lunch and dinner from 10:30 am to 8 pm; Bar is open from 10:30 until 9:00pm, Dinghy's offers a spectacular menu with table service or To Go, ATM machine, Free WIFI, floating bar, flat screen TV's , corn hole and horseshoes, and an overall chill vibe. The kitchen employs a seasoned staff of chefs with many years of combined local and international experience. The menu offers beach side favorites: burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, tacos, fried snacks, fresh locally caught fish, BBQ and more .Delicious and creative daily specials are based on product availability and freshness! The Bar has the islands best bartenders serving creative frozen drink delights, cocktails, a variety of cold beers and wines, juices, and sodas. Try a chilled bottle of crisp dry-yet-fruity rose on the beach or rent snorkel gear, kayaks and Stand up Paddle Boards, Kawasaki Mules, Beach lounge chairs and umbrellas. Quickly becoming the alternative to Jost Van Dyke trips, Dinghy's Beach Bar is being discovered by many VI residents who want to get away from it all without the hassles and expense of going to the BVI. No passport or fees required to come to Water Island!! Special event catering, wedding receptions, all available at Dinghy's! You may also choose to enjoy some hiking to the old fort, or around the 491.5 acre (199 Hectare) island. Easily accessible via ferry service from Crown Bay Marina, or private skipper and boat available for special trips to St Thomas or other islands. (ask owner about the 27 foot whaler.) World class shopping is nearby on Main Street, the Waterfront, Havensight Shops, and Yacht Haven Grande Marina.

STARTER SUPPLIES: For your convenience we have provided you with one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one roll of paper towels and dish soap. We recommend purchasing additional supplies and food and drink at WI-MART (Mini Mart) right on Water Island next to the property or Pueblo Supermarket: just 2 blocks from Crown Bay Marina is the large grocery store. Or you can have someone provision the house for you. There is a company that offers provisioning.

It is very easy to get to Water Island. After landing at Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas, take a quick 5 minute taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina and then a 7 minute ferry ride to beautiful Water Island. Water Island is a very special place. Great spot!

The property was perfect for my husband and I. There was some bad weather our first day but Lisa was there and had a generator ready for us. We had a great time and Lisa was very accommodating!

Honeymoon stay!

We started our honeymoon with a 2 night stay on Water Island! What a blast! Bella Vita was absolutely perfect - had everything we needed - had an amazing view and received a discount on a golf cart rental while being guests here. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, the AC wasn’t needed much but very much appreciated when needed. We loved our stay so much we plan to come back in the future but stay longer! Check in /check out was super easy and communication was prompt. I highly recommend a stay here. Make sure you have the fish tacos at Heidi’s Hideaway!

Amazing views

We had an absolute great time visiting Water Island. This house provided all the necessities needed to enjoy a family trip to water island. We were a large family of 8 and with the house and the apartment below we had everything we needed. The house was clean upon arrival and communication with Lisa was absolutely outstanding. She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and went over and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a family vacation to get the feel of what it’s like to live on an island.

Good space for 1-2 people. Host was very accessible. Had a small issue when water went off (due to island electricity issue, not host). She was very quick to respond, sending someone immediately. View from the apartment was wonderful. Only comment is drapes could use an update

Perfect place for a long honeymoon

My wife and I stayed here for just under a month, and had a wonderful time. Checking in, Lisa provided instructions for an easy to walk to the place, but had her property manager Andy meet us at the ferry dock and give us a lift. Early on, we needed a few kitchen items to better utilize the amenities, but despite the fact that Lisa was traveling at the time, she and Andy got it resolved within a few hours. The space itself is cozy, but despite the humidity and 85 degree winter highs, the location and construction of the place allows for near constant air circulation. We didn't use the AC once, but it might be necessary in summer. The bed was comfy, and the space felt private despite being attached to another unit. The views across the channel to St Thomas were gorgeous, and not pictured is a recently-constructed deck also overlooking the channel. It's a fairly short walk to Honeymoon Beach, with a restaurant and bar in one corner of the bay, and frequent sightings of sea turtles in the late afternoons. Aside from some mosquito's getting in, I don't have anything bad to say about the place itself. However, staying on Water Island does pose some logistical challenges. I'd recommend getting a provisioning company to stock the fridge before arriving, as there are no grocery stores on the island. Excursions to other islands require some planning, as the ferry runs are limited and water taxis may not be available. All in all, we can't imagine a better place to have honeymooned.

Fantastic lil beach cottage!

Wonderful quiet area, clean, worth every penny. We are beach people and love the low key, no nonsense feel. It was exactly what we were looking for. Away from the hustle of St Thomas …. Loved our Mothera day week vacation!

We had a wonderful time. The place was exactly what we were looking for and Lisa was fantastic. We had a 3 hour delay and missed the ferry and she arranged a ride and had the golf cart waiting at the dock. Recommend 100%

Good stay

We stayed 2 nights. The host knew we might be a bit early and was great about letting us know when it was ready. The assistant met us at the ferry and showed us to the property. The apartment had the necessities and was cute. A view, grill, open and inviting. The things that were not included that would have made it spot on were beach towels and chairs. Thank you for a nice stay.

Great view efficiency

Lisa was great to work with. She made sure our stay was great. We even made it through a tropical storm without any problems. The island is beautiful! You must rent a golf cart. Driving around the island is fun and bumpy… the roads are not the best but we felt it added character to the trip. We’ll definitely return,

This is beautiful retreat space, but not perfect for relaxing vacation.

We loved waking up to the beautiful views from our little backroom hut. The space was clean, quiet, and private. Perfect for a couple or solo retreater. Lisa was a good host and always a phone call away. Cons:The amenities were lacking. We struggled to cool the space while adjusting to the heat. There was also intense pressure about using utilies despite our payment of costs and high additional fees. The property was not as conveniently located as post implied. It is a long hilly hike from the ferry dock. It is not possible to simply walk from the ferry with luggage to the property. We needed a rental golfcart, which was nearly as expensive as our space for the duration of our stay. Such a property and high cost warranted inclusion of the cart or even a discount on the normal day rental fee. We also wished we had been warned about other guests staying on other portions of the property as the unexpected activity mid stay caused us some safety concerns. In conclusion, Water Island is a beautiful place with wonderful air, views, and beaches, but does not offer much luxury in way of housing, food, or "roads." I would recommend as a retreat or change of scerny, but not a destination for those who just want to put their feet up and relax. Your access to amenities is severely limited and almost everything must be acquired on the mainland to maintain your stay.This property was a perfect home away from home, but we wanted for more of a vacation feel for the price we paid.

We wish we could have stayed longer !

My 14 year old daughter and I spent 3 days and 2 nights on Water Island and loved every minute. Our studio apartment was exactly as Lisa described. We turned off our phones, left the TV and A/C untouched while sleeping with the windows wide open enjoying the island breeze. We enjoyed the beach, lunch on the roadside at Heidi's, touring the island in our golf cart ( sometimes stopping to allow the turtles to cross the street), our evening swim and dinner at Dinghy's. We had a couple of hiccups on our 1st night, but Lisa and Janet Lee very quickly and efficiently resolved the issues and all was good. I guess the question is ...Would we visit Water Island and stay at Lisa's place again ? Answer: Absolutely !

Perfect Isolated Oasis

My husband and I truly enjoyed our short stay at this little oasis on Water Island. It was crispy clean with beautiful views, and had the most relaxing vibe with the airy windows and sounds of the ocean of island. The owner was extremely helpful in our checkin. Would highly recommend renting a golfcart, even if your staying for just 1 night like we did. Loved hanging around at Dinghy's - phenomenal food, views and fun. Also recommend the nearby foodtruck near the villa.

Great stay with an amazing view

Place was great, on its own island. The studio was cozy and cute and isn’t a bad walk to the ferry. An incredible view. There was no salt nor oil which made it pretty hard to cook and the breakfast options were quite slim on the island. There isn’t much access to clean water on the island so also be prepared to take boat showers and get a few gallons of drinkable water - fill water bottle before you go out . Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Water Island experience

This was our first time visiting the USVI and we decided to stay on Water Island. Lisa was more than accommodating and made our trip so relaxed and enjoyable. Lisa is a business owner as well as operating numerous vacation rentals on Water Island - and being an island of only ~ 180 people she is an extremely valuable person to know. The location of the rental we stayed at could not have been more convenient. A few major tips for those staying on Water Island: 1. There are only 2 restaurants on Water Island, and one is only open for a few hours over lunch time. Dinghy's is the only place that serves dinner. Plan your meals accordingly - I recommend buying some provisions (pizza, breakfast items, etc) at the local grocery store just outside of Crown Bay Marina and bringing them over with you on the ferry. 2. If you want to get anywhere on Water Island, you're going to want to rent a golf cart. Water Island is surprisingly hilly and getting anywhere without a golf cart takes a lot more effort than you might think. Golf Carts are available from Rachel's Rentals, but Lisa also has some. *Reserve a golf cart early, they sell out quickly* 3. The ferry is cash-only, and sometimes they charge you an extra fee ($2?) for luggage, other times they do not. They are supposed to charge you every time, your mileage will vary depending on the captain. 4. Renting beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, etc) - do this early in the day. It's not uncommon for these to be completely sold-out by noon. 5. Realistically Honeymoon Beach is the only easily accessible beach on Water Island - unless you're ready to rent a golf cart and get hiking to Sapphire Beach. Even then, Sapphire suffers from some pretty nasty looking seaweed and rocks/coral. 6. People are definitely on *island time.* Expect meals at Dinghys to take multiple hours, and double check your orders. Appetizers generally came out with the rest of your food, and sometimes it was wrong.

Perfect place with great views

Lisa's efficiency is perfect for a short stay. Clean, quiet, with great views of the ocean and Saint Thomas. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry dock and Honeymoon Beach. You can rent a golf cart but we decided to walk and it was fine. There is a bit of a uphill to get there but not too bad. Water Island is the most relaxing place in the USVI, totally worth it!
