About this property
Oceanfront Condo in the Heart of The Village.
In the heart of the St. Simons Island village with incredible ocean views! Located adjacent to the pier, village and Neptune Park, Hodnett Cooper is pleased to offer this beautiful two bedroom, two bath oceanfront condominium at Pier Pointe.
Leave your car behind and walk and bike everywhere during your stay! Walk to the Island's iconic shops, restaurants, ocean and lighthouse. Bike rentals are available in the Village or catch the trolley tour, which departs daily from the Pier.
Pier Pointe #204 is quite spacious and comfortably furnished with an open living, dining area and kitchen. Enjoy gorgeous views of the ocean and pier from nearly every room in the condominium including the living/dining area, kitchen and definitely master bedroom! The balcony runs the length of the condominium and is accessible from the master and living room. Pier Pointe #204 has renovated both bathrooms with a walk in shower in the master and a shower/tub combination in the guest bath.
While Pier Pointe is oceanfront, please note that beach access is tide contingent. At high tide—which occurs twice daily at varying times throughout the year—the beach is inaccessible. With an oceanfront lawn, oceanfront swimming pool and a private balcony, you likely won't miss the sand during high tides.
Please note this complex does not have an elevator.

This property is very nice, convenient, and newly updated. The cleanliness was top tier. The convenience to shopping, food, and family fun could not be beat. We will surely book this stay again in the next few months. So glad we found this place.
The place was very nice, very clean, comfortable, and had a great view! The location to the Pier Village was as close as you can get -- it was great to be able to just walk right out to the shops, restaurants, and the pier. We enjoyed watching the big ships coming through St. Simon's sound and it was great to see the Christmas lights in the village.
The unit location is perfect if you want to be in the center of attraction. We have traveled to SSI many times and stayed in this complex twice. My only recommendation is to make available a key to exit the pedestrian gate to the village, pier and street.
We had a wonderful time. The location is perfect! Sunset views are just spectacular. Condo has everything you need and more! We will be coming back again!
We stay every year for the RAM classic. So glad we found this condo. Not only was the esthetics of the condo wonderful but the location was absolutely amazing! Close to everything in the Village and all of our favorite places! Thank you so much for sharing g your home with us. We have already booked for 2024!!
Gated property located next to pier, close to lighthouse and walking distance to several restaurants and shoppes. Private, small condo community with ample parking, pool and beautiful views. Although on water, limited access when tide is high to the beach but it didn’t matter:)
We rented a golf cart for the week and easily got to eagle beach. Honestly the most relaxing vacation we have been on in years. Easy check-in, easy check-out, home well stocked and beds were surprisingly comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Property needs some work. Tiles on floor are cracked, door lock needs replace, didn't work all of the time, sliding screen door needs replaced, updated work lacked a skilled touch and no instruction for using the TV available had to call the office for assistance.
The property was very nice in every aspect. There was a bit of residue in a bathroom sink likely left by the previous occupants. A number of knives and forks and spoons were put away dirty, perhaps due to dishwasher performance. We experienced some bad weather with snow and ice, causing an extended power outage and the closing of many island attractions. Our review was tainted by the historic weather event. Had we come at another time I'm confident our review would be better. While I acknowledge the weather is no fault of the property management, the promise that someone would be available by phone proved to be untrue during the power outage.
Just wondered who is responsible for upkeep and repairs of the condo? All very Clean and comfortable! But hourly and daily, we found so many things that didn't work properly: Large florescent light in kitchen was very unreliable. Takes minutes to come on, if at all. (i saw a review from 2021 that mentions it also) Why not just replace the fixture and be repaired? Every light bulb (6 maybe) in the dining area light fixture is a different kind, wattage and hue. 2nd bedroom door won't click shut and will open magically. There is an annoying light just outside of the window in the complex corridor. Owners have hung very nice plantation shutters to close and conceal the light at night. However, we had to hang a heavy beach towel over it also to really shut out the light outside. Master Bath has a nice large hinged mirror that opens out....left side does not click shut....just always stand to the right?? AND the ac filter was so dirty. We thought about buying a pack to leave there. I am a vrbo Owner myself....Please pass this info to the Owner. AND DO NOT PUT IN A REVIEW FOR ALL TO SEE. I cannot believe they know about these issues. If they do...and after a year, haven't repaired a main light in the condo..yikes! OR perhaps the Management Company doesn't have reliable help??? But I certainly appreciate any guests telling every reporting a light burned out, etc if our house cleaners fail to spot the issues.
The location in close proximity to places to eat and shop and explore, and views of the pier and waterway are all great. The condo (#204) is very spacious and has all the basic amenities, though a few things show expected wear such as some of the cookware and some closet knobs, and older sliders. The master bedroom TV did not work, suspect the remote just needed new batteries, but we didn’t need to watch that one, and the living room TV worked well. The view from the bedroom is lovely. The unit was clean and very comfortable and had some nice personal touches (artwork, furniture accents, library). The balcony overlooking the waterway where you have outstanding views across to Jekyll Island, and the pier, and up towards the suspension bridge, and sunsets, are some of the main reasons to rent this unit. The balcony is large. The complex is quiet and well maintained. This was our first time renting a VRBO property and we were very satisfied except for a little difficulty figuring out upon arrival, how to enter the gate code to open the gate and drive in, or realizing there is a pressure plate you need drive over to trigger the gate to open so you can drive out. For opening the gate to drive into the parking area and complex, we didn't realize you needed to enter a # sign before the number…. We thought # meant number, not for using the actual # sign on the key pad. Our mistake. But overall a very satisfying stay! We would use VRBO and rent this property again.
Our stay was perfectly timed. Pier Point is a small condo complex perfectly located for leaving your car parked and walking to the village and restaurants. From our 2nd floor balcony we watch dolphins swim out in AM and in PM. We had the pool practically by ourselves. Recommend
Great location, walk out the gate and you are at the pier and village. The condo was very spacious, clean and well equipped. I would recommend this condo to others.
My sisters and I were very impressed with the cleanliness of the condo. The location was outstanding. We were apprehensive about the ship, especially since we checked in the day following the fire. But, we enjoyed watching the process and loved being able to walk to so much of the fun.
What a great location! My first impression of the building was not good. The outside definitely needs some repair work. The unit itself was clean, and had everything we needed. The screens in the sliders need replacing.
But the view was outstanding - even with The Shipwreck blocking the serene view of Jekyll Island. We found the whole operation fascinating!
If it weren’t for CoVid, we would have definitely visited all the bars and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.
