I am the finickiest of the finicky about many things when I travel, and I am an avid reader and writer of reviews. Grab a cuppa and sit back, because this one's got some meat.First, I am mobility impaired, and to my pleasant surprise the parking lot was very close to the elevators. Short walk-win! Working elevators-2 of them-win! Luggage carts-win! Elevator entrance very close to entrance for pool and hot tub-win win!The walkway from the elevator to the unit was smooth and had railings. This is not, of course, within the homeowner;s control, but it is worth noting that if you use a cane or mobility aid like me, you will also have a sturdy railing to grab in case you wobble a bit.I am not familiar with using keypad door locks so that took a sec to get into the unit. I opened the door to a cool, exceptionally clean and fresh-smelling-but-not-overly-so home. Now let me start the picking apart. The floors-clean. Walls-clean. Countertops, flat surfaces, clean. I work in the travel industry and I cannot help but observe the little things because it is my job to do so from behind my desk every day. You know how some places you stay, well maybe it LOOKS ok but there's some dust between the fridge and the wall? Not here. Maybe a few scuff marks on the floor? Keep looking. Or how about that one chair that creaks when you sit in it? Nope. Not in this place. It was FABULOUS. Literally EVERY surface was immaculate. No dust on the ceiling fan. No swiping your finger across the tv stand and getting a little smudge. (I didnt do that, for the record, but everything literally GLEAMED).The furniture is comfortable enough and lived-in enough to be just right, but not old looking or faded. There's loads of stuff to do if you got stuck inside on a rainy day: games, books, etc. There were even complimentary water bottles left by the cleaning company and binoculars for watching birds or maybe the boats on the water. The bedroom and living area both open out to the balcony with your choice of chairs and tables. The unit is on sort of a corner, so it feels more private. I did sit there for a time and just enjoy the breeze. The outdoor amenities were in a gated area, but you get the code for this so again, private. Hot tub-my reason for booking- was GOOD AND HOT. I soaked away some tension under a sunny but mild Florida day. I did not use the pool, but Inspector Gadget me took a peek-crystal clear and clean. Nary a leaf to be found in it.The aesthetics of the place were amazing.
