"We chose this location by proximity to the lake. It was clean and well appointed and did not disappoint (other than we didn’t catch any fish). Home was well stocked with necessity item including cookware which was important for us as we cooked our own meals. It also had dishwasher and detergent along with washer and dryer and laundry soap. It was a quiet peaceful location and I would definitely stay there again!"

"This was a beautiful place to stay for our visit to Cape Breton Island. The view from the house was amazing! We were able to catch both sunrise and sunset while overlooking Bras D'Orr. "Well equipped trailer with a beautiful view. We did on the whole enjoy staying at the property. It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. "Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

The floors are very uneven because it’s such an old building, but if you have any balance issues forewarned also if you plan to use the upstairs, please note that there is no railing on the outside of the stairs , this seems to be a liability issue as it would be easy to just fall because the stairs are very steep. Perhaps the other renters mentioned these things in their reviews but the reviews are all in French so I missed it if you enjoy roughing it indoors this is the place for you Again the view is what makes this place spectacular not the place itself"
